this is GOOD watching. being a fan of this team means i have to enjoy the Losing

as a fan of padres and the white sox... padres are in a slump, but as a fan - i can see a vision to where they overcome it and make the wild card and just dominate for the white sox, i feel like they are void of hope. yeah, the al central sucks so theres always the hope of winning the division and getting hot in the playoffs, but their team just sucks so bad and theres no stars on the team to carry them. give me soto, tatis, machado in the playoffs

Sox lose 3 out of 4 to Detroit hahaha i love watching this team implode.

it would be a LOT easier to follow and get behind this team if our direction was to rebuild. right now its pathetic that we are supposed to be competitive when we are the furthest thing from it. of course, rick hahn, kenny williams, etc. all going to the layside would be very good too before a rebuild. but we are deluding ourselves if we think we can get be competitive

I agree with others saying it's pretty stupid to start on 2b... Why 2b? Why not 3b? Why not 1b? Who made the statement that it needs to be 2b? 2b just makes it a sacrifice, sacrifice, score run. Other team, sac, sac, score. 1b would put an emphasis on steals, on hits. Putting the guy on 2b is the problem to me. I don't love the rule in general, but I've grown to learn to live with it - it is pretty exciting, but it's just kinda silly to do 2b instead of 1b.

Anderson will fall apart at some point. He will go from hero to zero. Suggest selling ASAP to get some value out of him.

The ONLY thing that keeps me on this board and around this team is because of the memories i have as a kid with this organization, the amazing people on this board, and the fact that I LIVE in Chicago so its the #1 spot for MLB games and following the MLB is one of my great passions in life. I have tried multiple times to distance myself from CWS and I think I am getting close... I just have to find a way to follow the Padres games late at night that works for my schedule and I can throw this ugly franchise away!

Duvall might be a bit over the hill, but he does have a lot of skills that could help the club. I would definitely be good with this permitting that we continue to look for quality depth as well. I am telling ya, this team NEEDS more depth because we will see it very soon and all year.

people saying no in this thread are the same that will complain in gaame threads when roberts is out for a 10 day span every month and colas is batting .200 thaat the CWS have no depth

they 100% should sign Conforto. it's the right move to make. Guranteed one of Roberts/Beni/Colas gets injured for a decent bit + colas is completely unproven. People here saying Colas *needs* to be our starting OFr are ridiculous. Guy is unproven as can be. He needs to earn it first and will get plenty of chances in the MLB to do so as our 4th OF

Yes and no. Important for them to spend money to better the team, i like what they are doing, but yeh dandsby is a bit uninspiring

have to love this signing. addresses all the holes on the team. fixing OF defense by sending abreu away and signing beni is smart. just wish it wasn't the largest contract in CWS history... that part stings
