QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Yah, it didn't work last night. Ozzie never had the infield in last night...? But he should have in the ninth.
-
Infield in... there you f***ing go ozzie.
-
Dye is a horrible outfielder. He is not even mediocore.
-
I use ''last click'' throughout the entire day.

Yes, espn hates us. Front page of espn... Front page of espn's mlb section...

Can you finish off this sentence? First time since july 30th...

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:47 AM) I'm not sure how all of this works, but why does it seem like when I'm in a game thread everyone else is instant messaging posts, but I have to keep hitting the view new posts button or going to the page before then back to seenew posts? Am I doing something wrong, or is that how the gamethread works for everyone? Just click refresh and voila.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) You finally broke your chat hiatus? Yes. Good place to get s*** off your chest and it is a pretty fun place to discuss the game.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) For who, Ryan or Wagner? Wagner... and it really doesn't matter because chances are he will sign with some team out of the blue and we will both be wrong.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) You're telling me you've never been on some strange message board at 3:15 in the morning that you don't belong to searching through some of the old threads that have long been forgotten by the regulars? Bull s***. I do not go on many ''strange'' message boards. Only message boards i make searches on are the ones i have an account to. I do not see the purpose of searching old threads from a site i am not apart of.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) New York Yankees Setup Man for Mariano Rivera for the next 3 seasons at least. Realistically, Wagner's headed to the Mets, so we're most likely stuck with Hermy / Jenks for 06, which isn't a bad thing considering other teams' closers at the moment. Bet you the cardinals.

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) Disable searches by non-registered users. That's gotta be a setting somewhere that you can just turn on. I have found guests in some of the strangest threads at about 1-6 in the morning. I am talking threads that are two years old.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:14 AM) Hermandson is my guy still, but let's face it. We don;t have that Rivera or Foulke (last year) guy who can go close a game and go multiple innings three nights in a row. That to me is among our biggest playoff problems. Bring on Billy Wagner in 06! Be cool if the sox inherited eight million dollars to sign him. He can easily get 3 years 21-24 million some where but i think he will go to the cardinals at a reduced price. He has wanted to go there for a while not and him and laraussa have a good relationship.

QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:02 AM) I disagree. Soxtalk Qwerty Whatever that means... sure.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) The awesome power of Rally Crede is beyond comprehension. Will the sig also be added by everyone to put powers of rally crede in full effect?

Last night he came into a situation with men on second and third with two outs i believe. He couldn't get out of it. Tonight he gets screwed over by rowands error ( was not scored an error but it should be... scorekeepers are way too lenient these days) and he was left with second and third... one out. Then it is ozzie's bright idea to play for the tie in a one run ball game?!?!? So the game is tied up. The he is lucky he got bailed out by uribe's superb play in the hole. As it stands i do not feel very comfortable with him closing... but i do not feel comfortable with anyone at this point.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) Chat was working. Maybe we need to see how well that will take the hit. The chat never once hiccuped. Even during all the outages soxtalk endured it kept running as smooth as ever before. The chat feature is a great one.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) We got a few ideas in mind. Hopefully there is a way to improve the mysql capabilities of the board and just get it to limit the uses. Were going to try and close down the search functions and other high output functions during game threads. Also next day without a game were gonna shut the site down for a few and do a board upgrade (who knows, maybe it will somehow help). The server holds up...its just the mysql that this board uses is totally ridiculous. MYSQL blows. I suggested that yesterday... I am just so fish flopping excited.
-
The server is huge. The problem is when people search for things during games that sloooooooows us down so much, At least that is partially what jason has told me before.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) Yeah, minus the heart smiley... Love you too...
