  1. Crede f***ing killed that... to the warning track.
  2. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 07:18 PM) um.....this is a white sox board. kinda something more important on. What?
  3. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) yeah, that 1-hitter in minny was a laugher Four era is apparently worth 8 million a season.
  4. QUOTE(Tadahito15 @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) I wish we had gone for sweeps earlier in the year instead of letting all the "B" players play. I remember when we were all thinking it wouldnt matter. Man, times have changed. GO SOX! Who said thought it didn't matter? I don't understand the reasoning for resting the starters twice a week if we were thirty game above .500 or 15 below. People were saying how they were gonna be needed in september... but how about we won an additional 3-4 games in the previous five months without the s*** line-up and we may not be having the problem we currently are. He is the total opposite with his offense and his pitching.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) And one could argue the lack of a three hole hitter is what's hurt our offense the most this year. Are you telling me carl everett's sub .800 ops isn't doing it for you?
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) Why run Dye in that situation? I'm sorry--this early in a game you don't run yourself out of an inning. Mismanaging like this in big games leads to losses. Ozzie isn't a bad in game manager!
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) well as an athlete you want to get into a groove. ozzie has approached this season a little weird. he keeps mixing up the lineup. i don't know if it is matchups or to avoid guys getting tired. they have had such a lead the entire season it made sense for him to approach it this way? but i think he is way overdue to put a set lineup on the field....that is my take on why the offense cant get going...as well as not putting Arow in the 3 hole! Rowand is not a three hole hitter. We don't really have a bonafide three hole hitter. We have a clean-up/ five hole hitter in konerko.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) Who the f*** told WCIU to use the angle behind the catcher? They think it's the 60's. Haha martinez...
  9. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) JR has to open the checkbook this offseason and get a real #3 hitter. But I'm glad they got Konerko back the the clean-up spot. Maybe Everett will get hot. The Sox could really use him. Durazo or giles are the only two real options and i do not even consider giles an option. I see him going to the braves pretty easily to unite with his little brother. They will have the money since they will not be resigning furcal ( very good chance).
  10. From long ago... QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) My dog understands more about baseball than Buster Olney... Peter Gammons = Red Sox Fellater Buster Olney = Yankees Fellater This is the same guy who thinks productive outs win games :headshake
  11. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) I have a good feeling about tonight. I loooooooove when you say that.
  12. Is there any surprise that millwood has pitched his best against the sox this year? Gotta love that 1.29 era in 21 innings while holding the sox to a .211 avg. He is 0-2 agains the sox this season in three starts... but surely not because of him.
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) I can't. What kind of competitor can't get fired up for every game, when they're only out there once every 5 days...and they get 9 million dollars for doing it? It is truly inexcusable. Not many places can you do a lack luster job 1/3 of the time and still get paid... and get paid extremely well while doing so. He needs to get himself some balls tonight and keep them for the next month and a half hopefully.
  14. QUOTE(Rich McKinney @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 03:03 AM) Cruddy will be gone (and Blalock plays SOLID at third, so don't give me the defense s***, people)... My god, Kap....who's Mr. Sunshine now? :headshake
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) It's too bad we're not in the NBA, as the NY Knicks would sure love to take Duque's contract off of our hands. He is also the right height...
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) El Duque might not even deserve a playoff spot...depending on how many pitchers we carry. Mark Jon Freddy Jose BMac (long relief) Clifford You can't Focking see that Hermy Cotts Marte Vizcaino -that adds up to 11 pitchers, which is what I believe most teams carry into the playoffs since they only have to push 4 starters. I bet we could find some takers for El Duque in the offseason, simply because the free agent market this offseason is going to be so thin. If not, he's not a horrid option in long relief early next year, and then we can try to move him at the AS break. It would be nice to free up part of his contract though. Doesn't matter if he deserves it or not. He will make the playoff roster unless he gets injured before the playoffs start. What a loss that would be...
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxgt @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) He got called up to Double A and was hitting like .170, hes only good in Single A ...
  18. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 02:29 AM) Was it a girl or a guy?
  19. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) timo banner = :puke
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) It's Ozzie's fault Pods didnt get a hit there. It's ozzie fault podsednik batter there. But i am not gonna pitch because i do not say it in the game thread before hand.
  21. You f***ers doubting the sox... :headshake Btw, i glove rally mojo!
  22. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) I rather see him only face left handers if it means gettng them out. Marte ain't the same pitcher he once was. I rather see him in for righties and lefties since he pitches to righties much better this year.
