  1. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jun 25, 2005 -> 02:38 AM) This is the Freddy I expected to see when we traded Olivo. Man did we ever get the better end of that Worked out for both teams in all reality. They have their starting center fielder for years to come along with a possible back up shortstop in morse. They had no plans of resigning garcia so they figured why not get something in return. ( Potentially a pretty good player in reed) but i still think the trade is very equal for both sides.
  2. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) Great win today. Freddy pitched his best game of the year (there goes the "Freddy can't pitch at Comiskey" theory), and the offense stepped on the gas in the 5th and never let up. for #50 today and for #51 tommorrow! The game at colorado> yesterdays game. I don't care that he gave up three runs in the colorado game compared to just the yesterday. He was just making the rockies ( best offensive team at home) look like complete at utter fools. He retired 22 in a row straight that game i beleive.
  3. Right this second it is jermaine dye.
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 02:04 AM) Duncan choked in games 4 and 5. He sure as hell didn't choke tonight. He DOMINATED the second half tonight. He either scored or set somebody else up to score. He shot 10-27 and five turnovers. In otherwords a bad game.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) Enough of this, bring in someone to finish this off. Our savior shingo is warming up. Wo0t.
  6. Wow. This guy makes a great game piss me off some how. First and f***ing third 0 outs.
  7. Meatball needs to be f***ing canned... two months ago.
  8. He hit that on accident. Oops cotts gave up a homer time for you to talk s*** about him.
  9. Wellemeyer had a 3.22 era coming into today. As it stands right now he has a 4.74 era.
  10. QUOTE(shakes @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) I wonder if Dusty will complain that we ran up the score. Willie k's to end the inning.
  11. Iguchi walks with two down for willie.
  12. Crede hits a three run homer to right field ( he swung way late). 12-1 sox.
  13. Pierz doubles down the left field line, second and third no outs for crede. 9-1.
  14. QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 05:11 PM) I pull Garcia here. Although he's only at 93 pitches and can probably take the 8th, it would be useful to get some work for Shingo and maybe even -shudder to think - Vizcaino. Don't you want to win this game?
  15. Rowand hit a blooper and then dye singles. First and third no outs for pierz.
  16. I am really getting sick and tired of hawk and dj's crying when we are up by alot on a team and the other team steals. Is the opposing team suddenly suppose to give up and not try to win the game? I could see if we were losing by seven and the cubs stole ( or any team in general) but thats not the case.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) A.J. Pierzynski has just tied his career high in home runs with 11. You think he likes that ballpark he's hitting in? Bacially everyone knew he was gonna break his career high in homers this season but not this soon. He still has work to do on the average.
  18. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) How many DP's has Freddy turned this year? Eight double plays.
  19. Walker walks, first and second no outs.
  20. Pierz grounds out to ramirez, one out.
  21. Pierz bunted again... foul.
  22. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) His steals numbers are impressive, although, like Larry Hughes, he takes way too many chances and just doesn't seem to want to play defense at times. I think he's incapable of containing a Top 10 scoring threat out of the SG or SF slot even when he's playing his best possible defensive game. I'm sure that there have been exceptions, I'm just going on what I've seen. He didn't even average a steal per game in nearly 40 minutes per game. He is definitely not a gambler like hughes, he was always in front of who he was defending last year. He is an athletic freak, he can play the full 48 games in a row if you ask him to and that is with him going full speed ahead. I mean he led a pedal to the medal team in minutes per game last year, that says something to me. What was really impressive last year is his three point shooting, nearly at 48%.
  23. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) Keep the pressure on, need a big hit here. Dye hits it to mitre to end the inning.
  24. Mitre throws a wild pitch, podsednik scores, 3-1 sox.
  25. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 09:24 AM) NL teams are scoring more than AL teams this season, and in the past 30 years there has never been a single season in which the difference between runs scored amounted to .9 runs per game. Would you say the difference is about a half run or so?
