Possibly, but it may also be that he had a good amount of at-bats unlike most years? I mean, he is a career .250 hitter. But his jump from batting average to obp is pretty damn good, .89 points. I would take that from are number eight hitter in the lin-up with willie following.

No reason the sox are not going after zaun. He is far from great but he is an upgrade over davis. What i like about zaun is he is a switch hitter that knows how to take a walk.

Me too, especially since davis is gonna be playing a petty damn big role next season. I evision him catching at least 100 games next year if not 120. Which scares the s*** out of me because he is not very good defensively and even worse offensively.

I do not like to play unless there is some money involved. Otherwise it is just not as fun to me. I would even play for nickels and dimes if i had to.

Signing hernandez is the best move we have made this off-season by far. I only see us getting about twenty starts from him before he gets injured one way or another. But that is twenty more starts that we feel comfortable with. If we were starting grilli/ diaz we would feel comfortable about zero starts. Also, when hernandez is on, he looks like one of the best pitchers in the league for strecthes. Which is always nice to have.

Agreed, i would not mind willie whatsoever if he was consistent. But his stretch of 0-13 for three games then 9-12 the next three games is just brutal.

Yes, that does suck since we want him more than any of our starters to have a low pitch count. 80-90 pitches is honestly the most i would go with him.
