One thing is there does not seem like many catchers no how to call a good game anymore. Does anyone else agree? Never seems like catchers are in control anymore like they should be. If he is such a good game caller i would think his cera would be in the very top of the league, he has caught soem damn good pitching staffs before.

He can throw out base stealers but his cera is not great along with the rest of his catching abilitie imo. Others may disagree but i do not think for what he brings to the table is worth over two million over two years.

Well kenny usually does like to keep things quite. So i hope that is the case now. If we trade konerko or lee i agree we need pitching is return, but i also think we need to get a young cheap hitter that has some up side.

Diaz- :puke Can distribute all the stats and reasons why he blows if you want me to. Blanco-Great at throwing runners out cannot do much else very well defensively and is terrible with the bat. I know we do not need offense out of our catcher but a .200 batting average is simply unacceptable. His cera is only in the middle of the pack and that is not extremely exciting. Fordyce - Does nothing well. Zaun- I like him and would not mind him but he is as good as a blue jay once more i think. They have quite abit of of interest in him coming back and i feel it is mutual. Wilson- No longer can hit and cannot throw out base stealers along with a bad cera. But he seems to be good behind the plate for the most part.

We do need a catch but i could really care less now that mike redmind has become a twin. He was the only catcher i wanted the sox to make a run at.

There is no reason to believe that. Their offense is set and they are gonna be improving the pen along with the starting rotation this off-season.

Only way escobar gets the starting job is if he hits about .600 in spring training next year and everett hits under .150. I am being serious to. Escobar does not bring much to any team as a starter at this point in his career.

Why do you think that everett will be on the bench and escobar will start in front of him? Escobar has basically proved nothing in the majors thus far to deserve the starting job. His minor league numbers were decent but nothing very great.

Well one reason he had a better era at home than on the road because he was so very bad on the road. Still is a pretty small sample size in my opinion. But i hope you are right. He just has to get much more consistent and learn how to pitch out of the stretch without walking five guys in a row.

While i agree with you, i still don't know how i feel about trading for him at the deadline. I think i would rather go after another pitcher in the off-season instead. I just hope contreras pans out for us. Anything less than a 4.50 era i will honestly be happy with because i have low expectations for him.

4.50 era, honestly. He will look brillant at times and then others he just looks lost out there.

I agree with you on their pitching, but their offense is just about as potent as any other team in baseball. Wait another year or two and they are gonna be dangerous as hell.

Vasquez may only make four starts next year. So what is your point? Every single player in sports can get injured, they are not immune to injury.

If anything the indians players will get better not worse I don't think last year was a fluke at all. They have one of the better young cores in baseball in my opinion.
