  1. Brandon Williams, DE from Texas Tech would be a very good pick-up for a team like the Bears in the 3rd round. 6'5 260 pounds, and led the Big 12 in sacks. 20 years old, suprised everyone in the program by declaring for the draft as a junior.
  2. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 09:11 AM) He looks done. That leg injury looked nasty. Looks like he will play, http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs2008...tory?id=3843412
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 09:18 PM) I'll stick with the Cards. If Hines Ward is done, that might be a solid pick.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 08:58 PM) I don't think so. He just really had no chance against a defense of this caliber. Especially on the road in a game of this magnitude. They desperately needed to run the ball effectively to win the game. And with McClain a non-factor due to injury, the Ravens really had no chance. Nope. Reed is by far the best ballhawking safety in the league. As Palehose stated, Troy excels at both ballhawking and as a run stopper.. Congrats by the way Palehose. Thanks Jordan, not looking foward to the Steelers CB's matching up with Fitzgerald and Boldin though.
  5. That's why Polamalu is the best safety in the league. Plays the pass and run very well.
  6. Anybody see the dunk in the Miami-UNC game just now? That was ridiculous.
  7. Well, the greatest team in history has lost twice now and most of the UNC fans have jumped overboard. Fun stuff.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 11, 2009 -> 08:19 PM) It's going to be Steelers vs Cards with the Steelers winning it all. I really, really, really, really don't want to see Arizona in the super bowl against the Steelers. Warner + Fitgerald and possibly Boldin scares the crap out of me. Especially with Ike Taylor out there trying to defend.
  9. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jan 11, 2009 -> 01:27 PM) Everyone don't cry, God is coming back to college football. Good luck to the 10,000 other college football players that are hoping for any attention now that Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow are coming back.
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 11, 2009 -> 01:02 PM) I picked Carolina vs. Indianapolis. I'm a genius. It's ok, neither of you will be right ;-).
  11. QUOTE (gbuk @ Jan 10, 2009 -> 07:02 PM) Good lord this post is terrible. We can talk about Roy being an overrated coach though. LOL, overrated. That's fantastic. Yes, a coach that was given the keys to Kansas on probation and took them to 418-101 record and the NCAA tournament every single year except his first probation year, is overrated. That's hilarious. A guy that averaged 28 wins and 7 losses coming into this season, including the 19-12 probation given year, is overrated. A guy that is 574-135 in his career in the Big 12 and ACC, is overrated. Is he the best coach in college basketball history? Nope. But he's right up there in the argument. He recruits good people and good basketball players and wins a lot of games. Not always the title, which is frustrating. But Dean Smith was the same way.
  12. #3 UNC at #4 Wake Forest tomorrow night at 7. Should be a great game to watch as both teams are going to try to outrun the other.
  13. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 10, 2009 -> 05:44 PM) English was then he took the job elsewhere and Miller was promoted last month. Then he left, tough for Louisville. http://louisville.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp...1&year=2009 He would have been crazy to stick around Louisville. That coaching staff is in hot, hot water.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 11:03 PM) He is terrible. Alot ofOSU fans have been calling for his head for a couple of seasons. The defense hasnt quite been the same since Dantonio left. I think it was decently coached at times though, not any worse than Texas' play calling at times. I think there has been a small decrease in overall team talent for OSU at least, but we have lots of young top tier guys on the way to bring it back to what we think will be a very high level. Frankly, Texas should have run away with this game if you compared the teams. Big 12 teams have been dissapointing to me, its hard to think that Texas beat Oklahoma who is going to face off with what I think is a very good Fla team for the national championship. OSU def played better this game with Pryor many games older and with half of Beanie, but man USC beat the s*** out of us, they dominated us much more than Texas even looked capable of. After the Texas loss, OU seperated themselves from the rest of the Big 12. However, losing Demarco Murray is a big loss. Austin Box might be back for OU, which would be huge for their defense.
  15. That was a first down, even if Brown has to challenge it.
  16. Anybody see the Billy Ray Cyrus mullet on that Texas player they showed on the sideline? That was fantastic.
  17. Now you guys get to see what we Texas Tech fans b**** about against Texas. Always showing Colt McCoy's family on tv, protection for him at all costs from refs, and refs giving UT all the calls. Fun stuff. If you guys have forgotten yet, Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley's dad's played together in college as well.
  18. I don't really see how you can argue that James Harrison didn't deserve it. 101 tackles, 16 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, 1 INT, and the guy even missed a game. Ed Reed had a good season, but Troy Polomalu had even better year as a safety. Harrison: 101 tackles, 16 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, 1 INT Polomalu: 73 tackles, 7 INT's, 17 passes defenced Reed: 41 tackles, 9 INT's, 16 passes defenced
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 05:22 PM) The odds are good that they will. OSU really should have played Georgia or someone like that. Now lets say Texas beats OSU by 30+ and Oklahoma beats Fla. Who is YOUR national champion people? USC Utah Texas Oklahoma If OU beats Florida, then you have to give them the title. They have gone apes*** on a few very solid teams like TCU, Texas Tech, Mizzou etc.
  20. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 08:17 AM) I don't know how Ginyard & pycho T qualify as soft, and Alex Stephenson who transfered due to family health issues was a brute, but if you see toughness as a flaw in Roy's recruiting, okay. I think they will be just fine even after this BC lose has "exposed" their Charmin like qualities. Tyler isn't soft, but he's also not going to be a vocal leader on the team when things are going wrong. He goes about his business and works his ass off. Ginyard is the exact same way, same with Lawson/Ellington etc. Nobody on the team has stepped up as the leader since David Noel left. He was a fantastic leader in the locker room AND on the court.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 10:54 PM) I know most people here will probably think it's awesome. But I think it's not cool at all.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 06:48 PM) Guess UNC is beatable. Roy's "Charmin soft" recruiting strategy is frustrating. He ends up with a lot of good people and good basketball players, but none ever tough enough. The only tough player I remember him recruiting is Paul Pierce. Roy won't seem to recruit Paul Pierce, Rashad McCants types anymore.
