  1. Right on, took care of business again. 10-0, I can't believe it. OU gets to play Texas Tech and then Okie State on the road.
  2. Ben didn't get benched, he just had a sore shoulder. Byron Leftwich has done an awesome job each time he has been in this year, team hasn't missed a beat. Ben still doesn't make the smartest decisions, and holding the ball as long as he does is going to keep getting him hurt. Especially behind this atrocious line. Chris Keomatu and Max Starks are easily the worst guard-tackle tandem in the league. Max Starks actually ducked a tipped pass last night instead of batting it down, costing Ben an INT. The guy is dumber and slower than a rock, it's scary to see him out there each week as a Steelers fan. Bad part is that Marvel Smith isn't much better.
  3. Happy Birthday P, hope it was a good one, wasn't around yesterday to see this :-).
  4. QUOTE (rangercal @ Nov 1, 2008 -> 11:44 PM) "good" gets you to the Insight Bowl. I can see them in the title game this year though. Yeah, but there's divisions in college football. You have the elite, the great teams, the good teams and so on. Tech has raised their level to a great program right now, and have a chance to become elite for a year if they can keep it together.
  5. Well that was fun, have been at the stadium since 7 AM this morning for gameday. As for the Tech program. They have been consistently good for about 20 years now. Just haven't had the talent to take it to the next level until the past few years.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 26, 2008 -> 05:56 PM) As you can see, I ended up getting my a** beat. Anyways, TT/TEX is going to be awesome next week. Then again, if Texas loses, I hope Alabama loses along the way, otherwise, Alabama will destroy Penn State in the title game. If ND only loses 1 more game (@ USC), they may wind up in a BCS game. It would be an absolute travesty if they make a BCS bowl with 2 losses over a Big 12 or SEC team with only 2 losses. I saw firsthand that ND is a much better football team than last year, but not quite BCS worthy yet. Yeah yeah, I know it hasn't mattered in the past.
  7. He kicked at one of the smaller colleges around here before transferring to Tech. Tech lucked into this one, his kicks were perfect. He should be handed the field goal job as well after the scholarship kicker completely blew a 45 yarder again. Scholarship kicker has already missed 3+ extra points and 5 field goals, and that was only in 6 games.
  8. USC turning in another gutless performance at Arizona. No way those guys should be even within 2-3 TD's of USC.
  9. I'm excited, Gameday coming to Lubbock next week. Should be a hell of a game.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 25, 2008 -> 11:34 AM) This KU/TT game will be fun to watch. Hopefully It'll still be going on when I get back from playing some basketball. Yes that was fun to watch :-).
  11. Never seen a kicking game as bad as this years. Both kickers (Carona and Fowler) have had at least 2 extra points blocked because of low kicks. But the OL is also at fault, so this new guy is going to have his work cut out for him. That's what you get when you let a glorified grad assistant coaching special teams. Nice idea Leach. :rolleyes
  12. Saw a crazy stat about Ben in the last Steelers game. Since 2006, several teams were tied with giving up 66 sacks for the second most in the league. Number one was Ben with 116 I believe over that time. He moves around a lot and holds the ball much longer than any other QB in the league.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 21, 2008 -> 03:22 PM) Doesnt Texas Tech have one of the easiest schedules in America? I see them getting Whomped. The schedule started out really easy, but has been building up since, and Texas Tech has been playing Texas and OU close the past few years. But first TTU has to get by Kansas in Lawrence, that's no fun.
  14. Well, I guess I will finally join in the thread even though I'm enjoying college football alot right now :-). UNC. Just get it done, don't be the typical UNC elite team that can't get it done. Texas Tech. Pat Knight is actually getting out and recruiting and has added fast breaks to the system, great to see. Could suprise some this year, but I'm expecing an 18-11(8-8) season at best.
  15. Hate to say it, but the Trojan is back. I never got it before, but today it has shown up a few times when I move around SoxTalk. Not even 20 mins after I posted that, the virus warning was gone. So alrightly then.
  16. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 11, 2008 -> 10:12 PM) Oh well, hopefully they can salvage the season against Texas next week. Yes, please do that.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) Thinking about making the 16 hour drive for the UNC/ND game. If you haven't been to Chapel Hill yet, it's beautiful. The campus is amazing, and the game should be a great one. You can even make the short drive to spit on Cameron outhouse.
  18. Orlando is hitting .250 with 1 HR and 18 RBi's in 124 postseason at-bats now.
  19. Bruce Carter has already blocked 2 UConn punts and somehow missed a 3rd. Nice.
  20. Did they just show Ozzie laughing and joking with something or someone in the crowd?
  21. I don't see how that was PK's fault. Clayton had another one of his girly throws to first base that looked like it might have even bounced at PK's feet. He throws like a man to home plate, and like a little girl to first, weirdest thing.
  22. QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 06:30 PM) I think Poreda didn't make it because he was listed as a top prospect in the Carolina League. I thought so too, but in the article they state that he was one of the prospects that just missed out because the list is so talented. Pretty stupid.
  23. I found my Twisted Metal Playstation 1 game sitting around the other day and popped it into the PS3. Wow the graphics look terrible, but the game was still fun.
