QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 01:22 PM) Its not like he has "ridiculous" stuff. Sure its good, but it ain't #1 stuff. Outside of Poreda, you could say that about every pitcher in our minor league system. As for Nevin's injury problems, he was hit on the elbow by a line drive in his third start and didn't pitch since. Not much you can do about that.

UMass players taking cheapshots and keep talking smack, now down 42-7 and have given up 392 yards in the first half to TTU. Might see an epic offensive performance today if these guys keep talking. -

Just a terrible game. Gave the game away to VT. John Shoop is still a hideous OC. -

Holy cow, Bill Stewart is just clueless out there. West Virginia is due for a drop similar to UNC after Mack Brown left in the late 90's. -

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 02:02 PM) For what it's worth, I talked with one of the Barons players off the clock and he said that the White Sox organization was "different" and didn't mean it in a good way. He knew he was better off with another organization he had been with. "The White Sox only like guys who throw hard, they don't care about ones who can pitch." Those are some loaded statements in my opinion. I cannot say who said that out of respect to the player. But, I appreciate his honesty. Another good guy in the system who will get screwed. Thanks for the info, but that just blows my mind. There's a pretty decent chance this organization has the least amount of power arms of any organization in baseball. Aaron Poreda might be standing alone in that category.

lol yep Scenario, couldn't help it. When are you going to post your top 10-15?
-
I'll take a stab at it, but had to do top 15. 1. Aaron Poreda 2. Gordon Beckham 3. Brandon Allen(hard to keep him out of the top 5 now) 4. John Shelby 5. Stephen Upchurch 6. Jordan Danks(already 22 years old beginning his ascent) 7. Jose Martinez 8. Brent Morel 9. Jacob Rasner (really think he's set to break out next year) 10. Eduardo Escobar 11. CJ Retherford(a little old, but could be a late bloomer 3B option in a year or so) 12. Dexter Carter 13. Daniel Hudson 14. Tyler Kuhn(old for the league, but can't ignore the overwhelming production) 15. Nevin Griffith Didn't include Getz because he's 25 and has a little MLB time now. If I had to throw him in there, it would be in the 7-11 range.

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) Welker is useless now that Cassel is at the healm. Wow, I couldn't disagree more. Welker is the safety net in the offense and Cassel looked to him about 60% of the snaps. He's still 8th in the NFL in receptions without Brady, and it won't be changing anytime soon. Cassel is a better QB than people are giving him credit for.

Well, here in Lubbock we have received over 8 inches of rain today and it's still pouring with it supposed to rain all day tomorrow as well. This is nuts, and it's not even from a hurricane yet.

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) How the hell is Rutgers losing to a team that has John Shoop as OC?? Good question, I'm not much of a Shoop or Withers(DC) fan. But can't argue right now. -

Donta Rosario for the Panthers is someone you guys might want to pick up if you get a chance. He's got a chance to be a stud TE hybrid.
