Official 2008-2009 NBA Thread
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/...tory?id=3459696 I would trade #2 and Blount for the #5, Mike Miller, and Mike Conley. Then trade Marion and the #5 pick to the Clippers for Brand and the #7 pick. Trade Haslem to the Magic for the #22 and filler. Draft Brook Lopez at #7, draft best available talent at #22. PG. Conley, Banks SG. Wade, Cook SF. Miller, Wright PF. Brand, #22 pick C. Lopez, Mourning Yes please.

US Olympic Basketball Team
Agree, he does all the little things to help a team win, and he's a freak of nature athletically and personality wise;-).

US Olympic Basketball Team
That is, again, going to be the downfall of the team. Can you imagine that roster with the international teams packed inside the lane ready to take a charge(flop) at any moment? Not pretty. Rip Hamilton would have been a much better choice than Prince.

Signings from the 2008 Draft
Even if you are the best player on your college team, you would be extremely lucky to get half of a scholarship. The baseball scholarship world is a very odd place.

Shaq to Kobe: "Tell me how my ass tastes."
I can't even imagine having to listen to Shaq freestyle. I think I would rather watch Kazaam.

Fresno State-Georgia final. Good luck Georgia, you will need it. Fresno is the scrappiest team I have seen in a long time. Mendonca for Fresno is going to be a gold glove 3B in the majors, he's awesome.

UNC-Fresno tomorrow night to get to play Georgia. Alex White is amazing, decent chance of being #1 pick next year.

UNC sneaks by LSU. Great game, Matt Clark is a beast. Fresno up next again.

Signings from the 2008 Draft
He was rated #72 in the high school ranks by Rivals, and very highly by other sites. I would guess he was a low 2nd, high 3rd round talent.

6/18 Games
Even if Silviero is 3 years older and is 19, he's still got nice potential. Gotta love his start.

There really is no reason for concern over Beasley's height. He's got the length, bulk, and athleticism to make up for a few inches in the post. Guys like Carlos Boozer, Elton Brand, Udonis Haslem etc are doing ok as shorter PF's.

Great game Fresno State. These scrappy teams that actually play with heart always give UNC troubles. First it was OSU with Darwin Barney, and now Fresno with their 86mph pitchers.

Signings from the 2008 Draft
Anybody else notice Ryan Strauss is now on the Great Falls roster? That was quick, and a nice signing.

Signings from the 2008 Draft
The organization seems to be getting most of the overdrafts signed quickly, to give themselves plenty of time and money to go after the bigger names. I like it.

He measured in at 6 '8 1/2 with shoes on, which is the only thing that matters.

LOL at that last "steal" by Kobe. I don't think his hand ever came within 3 feet of the ball. Nice jab to the ribs.

Apparently Lawson, Ellington, and Green are returning to UNC according to sources tonight. But I'm still not holding my breath, tomorrow will be very interesting.

Leslie McDonald commited to UNC today after visiting UNC and Duke this weekend. Very nice capper to the 09 class. 3 of the top 27, 5 of the top 53.
