  1. Pitching matchup CHI: LHP Scott Schoeneweis 5-3, 3.89 ERA in 2004 Has never faced Atlanta ATL: RHP Jaret Wright 4-5, 3.94 ERA in 2004 Did not face White Sox in 2003 2-2, 6.50 lifetime vs. CHI Prediction of how long Schoeneweis will last: 7+ innings Prediction of how long Wright will last: 5+ innings If the Cubs were capable of beating the Braves in the playoffs (who was a playoff team last year) than we can do the same. May the force be with Schoeneweis and the Sox.
  2. So far, the White Sox are 31-25. Meaning there are still 106 games left this year. Including the games they’ve already won, how many games will they end up winning at the end of October the third?
  3. You’re right. I just checked my 2004 Season Schedule and Miller Lite is presenting the Pan American Night and Fireworks. Enjoy the ball game.
  4. Of course the World Series, but I’d be happy enough if the Sox make it to the playoffs. Just don’t make it a replay of 2000 where they got eliminated right away.
  5. Honestly, U.S. Cellular Field has fantastic seats all over the place. Personally, I wouldn’t mind sitting in the Premium Club Box (Section 520) since you have a very good view of the entire ballpark. I’ll be going to tomorrow’s game, which is a Fireworks night. Since it is a Saturday night, there should be allot of fans going.
  6. I was going to buy tickets at Wrigley, but decided to buy the Sox vs. Cubs games that take place here at home. Last year I went to Wrigley (Sox vs. Cubs) for Saturday and Sunday with my friends and brought this big Sox flag. You guys should to the same. Represent! BTW, good luck!
  7. The Twinkies will get a taste of the Phillies this weekend. Oh... and I read the entire thread which was pretty humorous. Minnesotasoxfan, you’re a dick!
  8. The guy is doing good as hell at the moment. He’s 7-2 with a 2.27 ERA. And to know this guy has a salary of $450,000
  9. In the top of the fourth inning, The Mets are leading the Twinkies: 2-1
  10. Okay..... are we talking about tits or Abreu? Oh... whom am I kidding? I’ll take the tits over Abreu any day
  11. TV just wouldn’t be the same without WCIU.
  12. Hawk said the game might resume by 7:45pm. But since he’s not God, this game may start at any time.
  13. Thanks for that Chisoxfn. I agree that the Sox do need a pitcher that can help em go to the playoffs.
  14. If Arnie does get the job done (and say he gets the W) will he be the Sox’s 5th starter for now on? Meaning... no more Freddy Garcia talks and all of that.
  15. Pitching matchup CHI: LHP Scott Schoeneweis 5-3, 3.89 ERA in 2004 Did not face Phillies in 2003 0-0, 27.00 lifetime vs. Phillies PHI: RHP Brett Myers 4-3, 4.03 ERA in 2004 Has never faced White Sox Prediction of how long Schoeneweis will last: 6+ innings Prediction of how long Myers will last: 5+ innings
  16. After Cotts, Takatsu should have come out and pitch. The guy went 1, 2, 3 in the top of the eight inning. If he were to pitch out of the 7th inning, he’d do it without letting a run go by. His ERA says it all. Koch (who wasn’t even in the closer situation yesterday) let three runs go by. I would have been allot more satisfied if he let at least one. His ERA will go even higher if he doesn’t try to lower the hits. His apologies to the public doesn’t do s*** for me cause I feel nothing for him.
  17. He’s been hitting our starting pitchers pretty hard. All I see from this guy (these past two days) is HR’s. Schoeneweis has to be careful because Abreu isn’t afraid to hit one out of the ballpark. Damn... that is impressive.
  18. True, but after the sixth inning those runs didn’t really matter since the Sox got 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth. If it weren’t for Koch, the game would have been tied, 10-10. Billy let three runs go by in the top of the seventh inning. In the top of the 8th, Shingo came in and went 1, 2, 3 on the Phillies. Takatsu should have been the guy pitching in the top of the seventh. I would blame Garland for this loss, but you also have to look at Koch.
  19. But how can that be? In Dusty We Trusty...... remember?
  20. I’m with you guys, but if it weren’t for Billy (Koch), the game could have been tied in the bottom of the ninth. Let’s not forget he let three runs go by in the top of the seventh inning. Still, we can get them today. Go Schoeneweis and the Sox!
  21. We miss a very good scoring opportunity in the third and we fail. Now the Phillies are taking advantage of that. 4-2
