I certainly dont hate the Keuchel deal and am in fact happy with it, but would much prefer Ryu with that deal for only 8 million dollars more since he can be a bonafide ace. Find it weird everyone was so ready to give Wheeler 120+ mil when hes been as injured as Ryu is. I get the age difference but that makes up for 50 million less too.

I'd much prefer Ryu @ 4 years 80 mill than Keuchel @ 4 72. I see the argument to the other side but Ryu should be a bonafide ace.

The film was fun and extremely packed from end to end. Unforunately it was too packed so it didnt necessarily make for a great movie. This should have been two movies, with The Last Jedi never existing. The world building was very poor across the trilogy. While the prequel trilogy may have been bad movies, they excelled greatly at world building. Lots of interesting worlds, side characters, side stories that you could see the potential of more exploring of that time period. Meanwhile with this trilogy theres none of that and I cant really see them ever going back here.

I agree it's different circumstances yet everyone wants to send him down for control reasons. Every post that has mentioned him starting in AAA has mentioned control as the primary reason. Hes not stupid and will see the same thing everyone else does, but fair the injury makes for a nice excuse. It's extremely clear hes one of the best starting options on the team (barring him having a double digit era in ST or something). He will be upset if hes not up here opening day and knows how much that can cost him financially. We will just have to wait and see what decisions they make I guess.

Neither does Kris Bryant, but it didnt stop him. When you're clearly manipulating service time, I imagine they will cause a stink about it.

If I had to guess, kopech will be on the opening day roster. If not I imagine a grievance will be filed immediately. And while that would lose, I'm guessing the sox want to avoid the drama all together.
