  1. http://sandraacta.com/web/index.php/compon...puesto-de-coach It's in spanish. But they interviewed him yesterday presumably for the bench coach job. He also has another offer, but I don't believe it mentions from who.
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 10:06 AM) Good point. The only players there I've even heard of are Featherston and Graham. Herrera was better than everyone in the draft combined.
  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 08:29 AM) Some people think MLB is the worst, some think NFL. Gee, what's the common thread there . . . Fox?
  4. Funny everyone mentiones the Rangers. The lost out in the rule 5 last year because they lost Herrera who put up a 4 war last year. Canha, Herrera, Deshields and Gilmartin from last year's draft are all proof you can find good players there.
  5. Six open spots and a bunch of crap at the end of the 34 on the list. We're in a good spot to protect whoever. Leury Garcia would be my first on the chopping block. Don't see the need for him with Johnson, Saladino, and Sanchez going for roster spots. Carroll even has more value at this point. Smith probably could be dfa'd as mentioned. Tago, Phillips, Wendelken and Jaye should all definitely be protected since we'll have the room.
  6. QUOTE (SnB @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 08:17 AM) I played through Fallout 3 over the past year and loved it. I tried New Vegas and just couldn't get into it, like at all. Probably because I was trying to rush through it and finish before 4 comes out. Still looking forward to Fallout 4. The New Vegas vs Fallout 3 argument is very polarizing to people. Me, I think FO3 is the best game ever and New Vegas is just another game. Fallout 4 same devs as FO3 so that's good news.
  7. You didn't read what I posted. I don't care about wins vs low level teams either. The fact is quality wins like perhaps vs USC and Navy are going to do a lot, lot9 more to strengthen ND's resume than any loss. If two teams are so razor tight, fine compare the losses. But guess what? That exact scenario played out last year. The team with by far the most "impressive loss" (3 point loss @5 team) finished 6th (last of the teams in playoff discussion) because the selection committee didn't give a s***. The team with the worst loss got into the playoff. Who teams beat won out.
  8. Well I think everyone will disagree with you. Still also ignoring the point. No one cares about wins over Rice just as nobody should care losing to the number 1 team. What people should care about is the quality teams you've beaten. I may disagree with saying USC and Navy are great wins but it's way, way more compelling of an argument to me than "But we played a team close!" I'd at least go down that right if I were a notre dame fan.
  9. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 09:09 PM) So all losses are the same? Losing a close game to a top team on the road is better than beating some cupcake like Lamar or whomever. It's not that black and white. It should matter, otherwise why not just schedule FCS teams and s***ty G5 teams every year? Their wins are comparable to those of the teams below them. Who you beat should far, far, far outweigh who you lose to, so yes. The selection committee actually came out and said this last year which is why Ohio State ended up in the playoff over TCU and Baylor. Otherwise you reward teams for "quality losses" which is really dumb. Not sure where you're going with the scheduling fcs team thing. That'd be the opposite of what I'm saying. Reward teams for who they have beaten. Scheduling fcs teams certainly would not accomplish that.
  10. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 08:46 PM) #3 SOS. The undefeated Big 12 teams haven't played anyone besides Texas Tech yet and Michigan State has looked pretty poor in a lot of their wins. I like that the committee takes into account strength of schedule and how teams look in their wins instead of just overall record, otherwise everyone would just schedule cupcakes. People are too focused on just top 25 teams as well. Hypothetically, a team that beat the #31, #29, and #27 teams has a better resume than the team that beat the #94, #51, and #17 teams. #14 SOS and lost to the #1 ranked team by two points on the road, how is that a bad resume? They might not necessarily deserve to be #5 but it's really not that egregious, maybe a few spots too high. Who gives a s*** who you lose to? They still don't have good wins.
  11. Okay Portis calmed down. He must have been scared earlier.
  12. Portis looks really really really really awful.
  13. Ill be honest, I have absolutely no idea how fallout/elder scrolls games could even be playable on consoles. I dont mean thay from a tech standpoint either. I would not even consider them on ps4/xbox.
  14. Notre Dames resume is not good at all. No idea how they're that high, but probably won't be for long.
  15. I heard two weeks ago the officer was also a runner in a gang. This was exposed and he killed himself. FBI involved due to the nature of corruption in the pd. Not sure that's out there but source was pretty credible.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 09:05 AM) I thought it was $1.6 million per year for two seasons, then club options. Pretty ridiculous not to offer AT LEAST three. One year dude. Bob NightengaleVerified account‏@BNightengale The #Nats official offer to Bud Black: one year, $1.6 million. Really.
  17. QUOTE (glangon @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 03:44 AM) The bullpen is an oddity, it can be good one year and rotten the next, see Seattle for example. My theory is always keep it fresh. What would I do. I would keep Robertson as the Closer and use Nate Jones and Jake Petricka as the Set up men. I would use Zach Duke as the lefty and bring in another left in Free Agency and start Dan Jennings in AAA (back up). I would use Montas and Putnam to fill the other 2 slots. Montas and Putnam can be used in losing situations and Montas if we need a long man. (Webb can stay in AAA with Carroll and Jennings which gives us some flexibility if there are injuries). Overall the pen isn't too bad, a good lefty would round it out nicely as I think we were missing that at points last year. Jennings was terrific in the 2nd half. I see no reason to send him down as he should be trusted over Duke going forward. Personally I would not touch the pen other than resigning Albers. I think it's fine. If you could get rid of Duke I would do that, but I don't think that's feasible. C- Robertson SU- Jones SU- Petricka LHP- Jennings LHP- Duke RHP- Putnam/Albers Long: Turner
  18. They interviewed Black twice. Offered him the job and he accepted...until they went to the negotiation table. Nationals offer to him was 1 year, 1.6 million. He obviously said no. Now the National are stuck with Dusty Baker to pay for their sins.
  19. Hey greg, in their first playoff game, Brother Rice went up 49-0 in the second quarter! They called off the dogs then but that's really impressive vs decent competition
  20. Odds Familia needs arm surgery this offseason?
  21. Do you think Boras called into the dugout to get him out
