  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 22, 2015 -> 10:03 AM) Those are reasons for me why I'd actually like to see them do it. The team is quite good at this exact path. It's not really the exact path though, since he's a reliever now. I have no problem if they give the Sale/Rodon treatment to another pitcher, just not Jay in particular.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 21, 2015 -> 09:20 PM) Whys that Combination of a lot of stuff. Aforementioned Kris Honel local kid flashbacks. That he's a reliever. Probably the biggest thing though is how I think they would handle him. We don't want to take a reliever with a top 10 pick. So if we want him to start, we should take it slow with him. Yet were already seeing stuff on how'd he be the next Sale/Rodon and be up here quickly. That scares me.
  3. Really like to stay away from Jay
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 21, 2015 -> 08:20 PM) I guarantee they won't finish in last in the division. What are you saying?
  5. I believe he meant it more in jest, as he's going to be kept in great shape from raising his kids.
  6. It seemed like Surkamp was going to break with the team in the pen before we aquired Jennings. I think he'll be a loogy soon enough, and above Phillips if the situation calls for it. For starters, we have 4 lefties right now. If we're looking for a 5th, I have to imagine Carroll is above everyone with Noesi not too far behind. And if we go to the minors, it'd be Drabek and Beck ahead of him. He'd probably be fighting Guerra and Johnson for the 10th starter spot. On second thought, Guerra might be ahead of them all but he's such a weird case.
  7. Emilio doesn't care for your speed up the game rules
  8. He just better ph for Flowers. Robin will though.
  9. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 19, 2015 -> 09:52 PM) I cringe hard every time someone posts that stupid nickname. I laugh every time
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ May 19, 2015 -> 06:33 PM) PATs moved back to the 15. 2 pt conversions stay at 2. I like it This just seems flat out stupid. Should have stuck to the original plan of perhaps fundamentally changing strategy. Now it's just the same problem they wanted to get rid, that 30 yard FGs are made at 95%, which I guess is a slight "improvement" of 99%. And now games will likely be decided by missed FGs even more, which again is just dumb and backwards.
  11. That's always been the blame for them. I'm talking, now, since the playoffs. Thibs job status has served as a great distraction to fans for what is probably a far bigger issue.
  12. 100% agreed DA. It may be time for Thibs to leave, but he's still a top 5 coach in the game today. He'll have a job the second he's fired (or more than likely traded). It's going to be a tall task to replace him, and I fully expect the Bulls to take a step back because of it. What happened to the midseason train of thoughts where everyone was team Thibs and wanted the FO out? Okay the playoffs happened, but it's still concerning to me how Garpax has gotten away practically free of criticism in this mess.
  13. Last night was highest rated sox game since August '13 for csn, per soxvan. So looks like people did take an interest in the matchup after all.
