  1. Walks, bad defense, 1 hit in 4 innings. Yep we're in full corpseball mode.
  2. There's Sierras terribleness in the field
  3. Nice job Leury. Someone showing some energy today.
  4. Eaton clueless. Would have liked to see him actually run there.
  5. No challenge. Nice. 1st base coach seemed pretty convinced. No good replay from what we saw.
  6. God damn Q looked awful that inning. Really need him today. Turn it around please
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 12:51 PM) This thread makes me laugh. I was out last night so I didnt see the game. I misread the first post and thought Ventura pulled Sale and people were complaining the Sox took their best pitcher out at 108 pitch count. That's odd. The first post doesn't mention Sale. You're hallucinating. You should probably get that checked out.
  8. Nice that Robbins plans to sign. Thought he might not given he was a top prospect not long ago. Hopefully we can work with him.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 08:33 AM) I still haven't seen anyone come up with some specific areas of managing they feel Ventura is extraordinarily good at... I was going to say that too. You won't get any though. It's like the strange "defense" of Greg Walker. No one ever actually defended him or thought he was good, just people like to argue and talk in circles. Same with RV.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 08:25 AM) I actually don't remember a lot of hemming and hawing about that decision. Robin was an idiot that day too although it was more for what he did with the lineup. Not that the Danks situation is even remotely comparable to last night, but someone will still try.
  11. At least I can't remember giving up 6 runs up, up 5 going into our last AB. Ventura did not manage very well. Hopefully this doesn't wreck our season. As demoralizing as it can get.
  12. This is one of the worst Sox losses I've have ever seen. If we lose and all that.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 05:25 PM) Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisMLB 28s 1-1 pick Brady Aiken agrees w/@Astros on $6.5 mil. Ties Jameson Taillon's record for largest @MLBDraft bonus given to HS P. Way under slot I believe. Good for us I guess
  14. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:32 PM) Padres just took Johnny Football Wonder what the chances are he signs.
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:19 PM) I know the Sox will probably be tapped out after Rodon and Spencer but if I'm De Oca, I don't think pitching in college is the best move with 1 TJS already under my belt. He's really going to take the chance that he will be healthy for the next 3 years, pitching for free? F that. I'd go pro. My guess is his TJS is the reason he's a firm commit. He probably (rightfully) assumed teams thought he would be an injury risk so he'd fall quite a bit compared to his talent level. Few healthy years and he could be and the top of the draft. Or he gets hurt again and loses everything.
  16. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:21 PM) Whoa, Mason Robbins was Kiley McDaniels(who gets a lot of play here) #6 college hitter in his May 2013 "2014 MLB Draft Preview". Yeah, also Mississippi high school player of the year. He had a miserable year this year but seems he was once quite the prospect. As a mentioned before, quite the nice flyer to take but he could also end up going back to school.
