  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 20, 2014 -> 10:00 PM) He may not go tonight but his days with the Sox are numbered. I'm pretty confident he will be tonight or after the series.
  2. Collect your pink slip on the way out Francisco
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 20, 2014 -> 09:22 PM) When are people going to admit Beckham is looking good. When he can put up a decent obp/ops, presumably.
  4. You have two of the best wing prospects ever in the same draft. Don't blow it on a big with a bad back.
  5. My friend believes getting rid of Martins terrible contract is worth passing on an extra piece.
  6. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 20, 2014 -> 12:47 PM) I dont think the salaries for this would be close to working out and I also severely doubt the Wolves would even consider something like this. Money is fine. 500k off but obviously very fixable.
  7. My Twolves friend, who usually knows a lot about the the nba, proposed this: Minnesota trades: Kevin Love and Kevin Martin Chicago trades: Carlos Boozer, Jimmy Butler, CHA 1st, CHI 1st I'd do it in a heartbeat but yeah, I doubt Minny would. Then again if hes not going to re-sign, he's not going to re-sign.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2014 -> 10:54 AM) Belisario was terrible and then he's been very solid. I really think Ventura would prefer to leave Putnam and him as the 7th/8th inning guys as that combination has worked quite well together the last 2-3 weeks. Belisario has a WHIP of 0.96 which is especially insane given his aforementioned rough start. If you believe the top reliever should be the closer, then it should probably be Belisario given what hes done this year and he's got a bit of a track record. I dont think you can go wrong with Putnam or Petrika either. That said it just shouldn't be Lindstrom, who is your 5th best righty in the pen.
  9. Yeah Alexei is only making 10 million each of the next two seasons. I see no reason to look to trade him.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2014 -> 10:20 AM) Except who exactly are we going to put in his place? I'd honestly trust Putnam right now more than Webb, who needs a bit more refinement but is coming along nicely. Putnam Belisario and Petrika have all been elite out of the bullpen this year, so doesn't really matter. Webb is a better option too, probably.
  11. This may be a good thing. Usually it takes multiple blown saves to remove a closer. Now we have an excuse without blowing all those.
  12. Nice to see Petrika in a high leverage situation
  13. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 19, 2014 -> 10:23 PM) Downs ERA is down to 4.15 now Is he worth a low A ball fringe prospect yet
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2014 -> 10:16 PM) Hopefully someone takes advantage of this injury to showcase their closing ability. Yep injury to Lindstrom is the best thing to happen to the bullpen, trade "value" aside. Robin has an excuse to take him out of the closer role without blowing a game, aside from today maybe.
  15. Our two best bullpen pitchers in the 9th
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2014 -> 06:09 PM) How close was ADA from a homer Not very thought it might go for a double though
