  1. Myke Henry officially transferring. That leaves one more spot for next year. Hopefully Illinois can somehow fill it.
  2. DJ said second career hr. Both game winners, knock on wood.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:04 PM) Either does De Aza it is a big hole. So is everything.
  4. So what happened? ESPN gamecast is awful.
  5. Is everyone thinking how do we blow this? Fake edit: following on mobile, looks like we may.
  6. Walk the previous guy on four pitches? Better swing at the first pitch.
  7. Fallout 3 is so much better than New Vegas
  8. We sure love to lose games that are pretty much impossible to lose.
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 11, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) Lindsay Lohan Andy Dick George Bush 1 Fidel Castro Clint Eastwood Gaddafi Muhammad Ali Jimmy Carter Courtney Love Hulk Hogan Damn I suck at this. Only one.
  10. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 3, 2013 -> 05:31 PM) Did not know that, thought it was on the player's side. Either way, I just don't see them using a scholly this year and next year for Starks, so they must know it's going through. Well I'm not sure what the rule is exactly, but Illinois has to be involved at some point. Or else there's nothing preventing him from getting a waiver and going to say Duke. Maybe the NCAA gives him a list of schools, but I have never heard of anything like that. I'm not sure how far he has to go with Illinois to get a waiver. I would think it would be registering for classes. Either way, yeah, I have to think Illinois knows it is a certainlty before taking him.
  11. It's hard to see it as contingent since the waiver is needed by Illinois and not specifically him.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 3, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) BS. He threw 92 pitches in 5.1 while allowing almost nothing. He has to lower his pitch count to go deeper in games. It's not like he's running out of gas at the 50 pitch mark. Thanks for proving my point? Dominant, not at 100 pitches, and can't finish the inning.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 3, 2013 -> 11:32 AM) Great numbers, it would be nice if he can pitch deeper into games. (I realize he needs to build up arm strength, but it's easier said than done.) He's never been stretched out thanks to the Sox mis handling him
  14. Did Boozer even doing anything? He wasnt near the ball.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2013 -> 03:37 PM) I would say the opposite honestly. The stats people didn't like AJ nearly as much. The people who think there is more to the game than stats are the ones who liked AJ the most. Which of those two sounds like the meathead fans? Those same people were calling for the Flowers era. LOL at those meatheads.
  16. Great pitching and the longball. Our recipe.
  17. This is going to need its own thread. Meatheads enjoyed it for what reason?
  18. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 2, 2013 -> 02:57 AM) Was that purposely? - serious question Take some balls from Reed to peg a Sox legend.
  19. Interested to see where it goes. Brother Walzack always seemed perfectly normal to me. Come to think of it, he did not have much interaction with the students. Edit: guess this is sesperate from his case, although the circumstances sound similar. There was a huge falling out with the entire Rice admin staff a couple years back. Rumors swirled over just about anything. No reason was ever given.
  20. ? From an unexpected group? Outfield errors are supposed to be rare right?
  21. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 30, 2013 -> 02:00 PM) It is embarrassing that people are even talking about this positively. Hawk is the laughingstock of MLB. The broadcast booth is widely regarded as the worst in baseball......and STEVE STONE is in it. Hawk made a fool of himself on Brian Kenny's show and people think that Hawk won the argument because he talked the most. I don't think Harrelson realizes that Rick Hahn is a sabermetrics guy. If the White Sox embrace this TWTW idea, it would be very disappointing. It doesn't make any sense. I have the will to win. The problem is that I suck and nobody would pay money to watch me play. This whole thing is really frustrating. They are major league players. They all want to win. The thought that they don't is absolutely ludicrous. Hawk is offending my baseball sensibilities. White Sox fans (me included) used to rip the Cubs for having Santo in the booth. We have our own caricature in the booth and he's not even being hidden as the analyst. He would be the color guy. Cry more.
