6/30 Game Thread Sox @ Cleveland 6:05pm CSN
Buehrle>Wood replied to knightni's topic in 2009 Season in Review
Looks like we're not going to get this one in. -
QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 04:17 PM) But, if we can get something good for him, and we are really out of it, then why not? Because he's still part of the future plans. Like Rock said, no matter how good the package is, it probably can't equal a good number 3 hitter for the next 2.5 years.

I assume signing Dye would cost us a draft pick. Either way it's not worth trading him.
-
Have an inning, Perez.
-
Perez wasn't getting over there regardless
-
Almost....
-
I just got home, already in the 9th? Fast game...

Potential teams that could come calling
Buehrle>Wood replied to Princess Dye's topic in Pale Hose Talk
There is no reason to trade Pods. And as out there as it sounds, a lot of minor league contracts have club options for the next season. We should seriously consider picking his up for 2010 if he has one. -
I came in to post Brittney Spears and then I find out her real twitter page says she is dead. Weird. Wonder if it got hacked.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 28, 2009 -> 11:33 PM) While it is looking more and more like that list is fake, I doubt it would surprise anyone if that list is indeed true or many of the players on that list are on the real one. EDIT: Yeah, the fact that Burnitz is on the list twice, that pretty much indicates that whoever came up with it got lazy towards the end and this is fake. If you noticed, the names are grouped by teams. And in 2003, Burnitz played for the Dodgers and Mets, and he's grouped with both teams. Looks like whoever came up with it knows their stuff and isn't an idiot, but he came up with this list by selecting possible PED users by looking at every team's rosters in 2003. There is some confusion on whether the alleged list is 103 or 104 names long. Different places say different things. The fact that Burnitz is on there twice might make sense.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 28, 2009 -> 09:32 PM) Didn't every White Sox player refuse to take the test in an attempt to trigger the new policy, thus causing them to count as positive tests? That would mean this list isn't accurate since there are only a couple of them on there. They were forced to take the tests.

You could also tell them about the GTA bug and get it free, like Jenks and I did.

I got a refurbished one. When the say refurbished, they pretty much mean new. There is no difference at all.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 27, 2009 -> 11:45 PM) LoL, AJ was punching Beckham in the kidney when he got to him. AJP destroyed him.
-
Beckham will need a new spleen after those shots from AJ.
-
I love Mr. Deer Mask.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 27, 2009 -> 11:33 PM) What happened? I've yet to see the highlight but apparently he made a travashamockery of the D-back's D. So technically not a HR, but I bet it makes for a great highlight.
-
OT but did anyone see Aybar turn a bunt into a inside the park home run?
-
QUOTE (JDsDirtySox @ Jun 27, 2009 -> 11:30 PM) I am calling an AJ Pierzynski walk off... just not sure if it will be a HR or base hit. I agree with this. Double down the line will be my guess.

QUOTE (bobryansson @ Jun 27, 2009 -> 11:28 PM) OK... I know this is trivial, tied going into the bottom of the 9th, but my status now says "Hafta." What's that? LOL I'm guessing a mod changed it after you mentioned being a draft pick and then you used the word "hafta" a few posts later.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 27, 2009 -> 11:27 PM) Soto can't argue that call. To be fair, given the ump's strike zone today, you could argue just about any pitch as inconsistent.
-
You are too good Bobby. Let's end this now!
-
It's a lively crowd. Jenks should have the extra adrenaline he thrives off anyways.
