  1. SN ranked us with the 4th best bullpen in the AL. They listed us with 5 guys who throw over 100MPH when no one else has more than 3. I believe in the last issue they ranked our rotation 4th as well. Twins were number one for Bullpen, Tigers number one for rotation.
  2. QUOTE(Rangers @ Dec 25, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) Any Socks fan's perspectives on McCarthy would be apprieciated. Was that an intentional spelling? Because I fell off my chair laughing at it, thinking it wasn't.
  3. Wow. Colorade is AWFUL. And whe I mean awful, I mean worst team in a major conference awful.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 12:11 AM) The best thing about the Bischoff showing up on Raw was that NOBODY but Eric, Vince, and Steph knew. There was no spoiler or rumor in the internet or anything! It was one of the last great shockers! Yep. HBK coming out of retirement and joining the NWO was the same way. That, IMO, was the biggest MTFO moment ever in WWE.
  5. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 17, 2007 -> 11:09 AM) Okaaaay, what it tis offisir my satnaph, thatz it, my satnav, told me to do it It was only a matter of time.
  6. We usually know by this time who will win the Rumble. Odd to see it so open. I think the E will break tradition and go with an aging vet. My 3 picks in order: 1. HBK 2. Undertaker 3. Randy Orton Also, we two months away, and no one knows for sure the main events of WrestleMania, also an odd occurence. I just hope that the E doesn't pansy out of the Rumble then and lets an ECW guy win it then.
  7. I was almost hoping Texas would come back down and hit a 2.
  8. But why did they announce the 09 All-Star game before the 08 one?
  9. Actually, just looking over the News-Gazette website and they say he's staying. EDIT: Beat.
  10. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 02:37 AM) http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines According to a Wisconsin site he is the father of the Illinois recruit, http://illinois.rivals.com/viewprospect.as...mp;pr_key=50004 Now Im not sure that this is true, but if it is I have to believe that the son will now be a Gopher. You should be right. I remember not too long ago he was considered for another head coaching job, and if he got it, it was waid that Tim would follow him there. Don't see how this is any different. Anyway, not a huge loss with Juice being at their helm the next 3 years.
  11. Apparently Bears play-off tickets(From Ticket brokers) were selling for near face-value. This for a team that would have a maximum 2 home playoff games. I don't remember any of the Sox games being that way...
  12. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 03:19 AM) bye bye illinois, i love my self. Then why are you still so seemingly obsessed with Illinois?
  13. I'd also like to put all of SNL's Digital Shorts in here. Anyone who ways this show is dead just hasn't been watching. A lot of these(namely Lazy Sunday, and A Special Box) have already reached legendary SNL skit status. I still like Doppelganger best though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Short
  14. To whoever posted the Ghost Ride The Volvo video awhile back: Thank You.

    Cancelled Gems

My not so original picks: Freaks and Geeks Clubhouse Playmakers And if they do indeed cancel WonderShowzen, I will do something bad. Really bad.
  16. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jan 8, 2007 -> 05:19 AM) Illinois signs another 3 star basketball recruit and no mention. God i feel for you illini fans, such an awesome and loyal fan base and coming off such a great 3 years. Weber is now stealing players from the likes of Utah, Sd State etc..... oh well, god bless self!!!(well his recruiting that is) What's funny about this is that Kansas was also recruiting him.
  17. I love Murphy. He's the ONLY show in town to turn to during the offseason for baseball talk.
  18. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 04:41 AM) You're right about their roster -- two key players Karl White and Spencer Stewart weren't available. About Jimmy Collins, from what I've heard he spoke to them prior to the game. Must have been rather inspiring. Wasn't there a third player too? I thought I heard on the radio this morning about someone braking their hand(?) or something and may miss the season. EDIT: Maybe I'm just making that part up, because I don't see anything about it.
  19. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 03:19 AM) looks like butler is going down at the hands of UIC butler loses 73-67 I don't know why, but I had a feeling that would happen tonight. Even more impressive since UIC was missing a good portion of their roster and coach.
