  1. Can't wait 'til the 3-0 start gets Champaign a buzz in time for when Iowa gets to town. Then, carrying momentum, the Illini steamroll the number 17 Squawks. Yeah, I should keep dreaming.
  2. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 05:45 PM) Nope, sorry: the one above you... And yes. Sorry, thought it was too obvious.
  3. A Sox pitcher afraid to throw in? Since when?!!?!?!?
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) Does anyone actually think Fallon is funny? I can't stand him. I'd like to take a swing at him with a barbed-wire bat. I like him. However, one former alum that I just can't absolutly frickin stand is Rob Schneider. I want to punch that guy in the face so badly. Bad movie after bad movie after bad movie.
  5. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 02:52 AM) Not trying to start an argument, but in what way has Konerko outperformed Crede this year? Paul has a bunch more walks, which leads to a higher OBP, but other than that the numbers are surprisingly similar. Sox stats Conveniently they are the top two on the page. Kong still holds an edge in nearly every category. Small, yes, but then you just look at the OBP where Kong just murders him. This shouldn't be ignored, as it is one of the best stats to tell just how good a hitter is.

  7. I'm sorry, but there is absolutly no way Crede belongs in front of Kong, Dye or, Thome, even if you do factor in defense. My list: 1. Dye 2. Thome 3. Konerko 4. Iguchi 5. Crede 6. AJ 7. BA 8. Uribe 9. Scotty
  8. So basically copy Springfield, Mass and make it a baseball Hall of Fame instead of a MLB Hall of Fame. You won't find anyone to disagree with you. However, I'm sure there are certain obstacles that would have to be overcome.
  9. e3 in May gone for good.

  11. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) He basically called you out along with everyone else with your way of thinking. I liked it better when you did it. Atleast I got what you were saying. A 5 year grace period? I just...I don't even know.
  12. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) most of you people sound like yankee and red sox fans, guess a 100million payroll will do that to ya, We got a good team with some bad pitchers(whom have solid track records throughout their career, maybe except vaz) and a crappy LF'der. We won last year and it was magical. This year for the last few weeks has sucked, but you gotta be realistic and hope for a turnaround, if this continues, guess what? We'll be good next year and try again. Good lord this team is not the red sox, stop b****ing like their fans, thank you to all the credible, sensible posters on here whom like me prolly don't even like reading or posting lately b/c of all the frankensteiners and his ilk who make every day seem like the world is lifeless and everybody sucks. If this team loses it loses, o f'in well, we won last year and this team has some great guys to root for. And the negetive girly boys flame away cus i'm not gonna give a spiff about your b****ing anyway. I'll laugh. go white sox, and as a guy whom loves the red sox(whom most of you sound like) take his advice "5 year grace period" What?
  13. QUOTE(S720 @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:23 PM) Come on Levine! Not even a little drip of Sox news? We're so quiet that Levine cannot even make-up the news.
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) ok? and our record is horrible this year? Since you just love to compare things to last year, yes it is. To be fair, comparing anything to last year is moronic. Nonetheless, we don't have a playoff spot right now. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) It is? In what way? We are forced to overpay for something not so special? Why? We have a good team. A playoff caliber team. Just settle down and thing positively. Who said anything we aquire would not be special? And why think positively when we stood put while our main competition(who already holds a lead on us) made the biggest splash at the dealine? I don't get it.
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:14 PM) Did you say the same thing last year when all we did was get Blum? And again when Cleveland was catching us? THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!!!!! It's different when you currently don't have a play-off spot, as opposed to last season when we were in 1st place the entire year.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) For who? No one knows yet...
  17. Can't believe we standed pat.
  18. **hopes for SC to announce a big trade to lead off the show** EDIT: NFL Live is on, nevermind.
