I don't mean to call anyone out, but anyone who thought NC State actually had a chance in this game, well, yeah...

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) Bad coach but a great recruiter. Bruce Weber is the opposite. And it's clear on what is better to have.

Yeah, the only "guaranteed game" that the Big Ten got was Wisky/FSU. All the others are 50/50 swing games at best.

The match-ups for the Big Ten this year are awful.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 26, 2006 -> 06:43 AM) Its amazing how bad of a coach Bill Self became to Illini fans when he left Champaign. If he was so bad, why was everyone so angry he left? Charlie Villenueva would have looked pretty good in their line-up. I'm guessing they missed him because they didn't know any better. Then they got a guy who is winning at a record pace with an astounding .850 winning percentage, and therefore, Self becomes a bad coach. That said, I don't think much of Self either. His teams are always sooooo undiciplined.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 26, 2006 -> 05:27 AM) Also, Chester Frazier dribbles way way too much. I 100% agree. So does Meachum. It's the motion offense you have to keep on passing and passing and passing. Dee Brown dribbled even more than Frazier though. I guess it wasn't all his fault though, as no one would get open for him.

It's a long season, but my call on Wichita State as a Final 4 team is looking better every day. Of course, they screwed over my otherwise perfect bracket last year. They better not fail me again or there will be hell to pay.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 26, 2006 -> 04:50 AM) How did Pruitt look? It may been because of Bradley having a small interior, but Pruitt dominated on the offensive end. He hit turn-around jumpers multiple times tonight. Not many 6-10 power forwards can do that in college basketball. Weber seemed to get frustrated with him on the defensive side of things tonight, but I did nott notice anything to problematic.

Gifts for girlfriend?
I'm pretty sure buying gifts for girlfriends that aren't cliche is impossible.

Just got home from the Chicago Invite: -Richard McBride is still awful. He simply does not fit into a motion offense. He is pretty much useless for the Illini, especially on nights he cannot shoot. -Chestar Frazier runs a better game than Dee Brown ever did. -Without Jamar Smith, Illinois is not much of a team. -One of the refs simply wanted to give the game to Bradley. Of course, he kept on getting overturned by the other refs. -Bradley is legit. They will still be up there with So. Ill, WSU, Creighton, UNI and MSU in the valley. -Daniel Ruffin got his points, but he still cost Bradley. He was miserable on the shooting end. -Jeremy Crouch is an absolute stud. Took awhile for Illinois to stop him. -Bradley still needs an inside defensive force. Four guards won't cut it for too long.

I'm probably the only one who, on Thanksgiving, watched Virginia Tech-Western Michigan over the NFL games. Anyways, some notes on the Old Spice trouney so far: - Minnesota is BAD. I see them competing only with Northwestern this year in the Big Ten. -So. Ill is one of the best defensive teams in the country, no doubt. That said, their offense is just as bad as their defense is good. If they plan on making any noise this year against major teams, their simply going to have score more than they are now. Right now, I would put them behind Wichita State and Creighton and maybe even MSU. -Patrick Beverly does not look like your typical basketball player, but he is a flat-out stud. He'll contend for SEC FoY. -Western Michigan is not very good either. How Va Tech lost to them is beyond me. -Jared Jordan fits the mold of a March hero. The Red Foxes are good enough to win a game in March. -I'm sticking to my previous statment on that West Virginia will still be a decent game. They will beat Western Michigan later today, book it.

Hofstra plays Hawaii tonight in the Great Alaska Shootout. What a disapointment they have been. They have top 25 talent but have yet to win and with losses at Charlotte and at Manhatten. Two tough places to play, but two places they should have won at. Also, anyone look at the GAS bracket this year. How horrible. Remember when this tournament was on the level of the PNIT, CvC and Maui? Old Spice Classic also tips of today. It's funny how the championship is being played as the first game of the tournament, So. Ill vs. Arkansas. Anyway, Some quick picks: Arkansas over So. Ill Marist over Minnesota Va Tech over W. Michigan West Virginia over Montana So. Ill over Minnesota Montana over W. Michigan Arkansas over Marist West Virginia over Va Tech Minnesota over W. Michigan So. Ill over Montana Va Tech over Marist Arkansas over West Virginia Whoever wins game one of this tourney will end up taking the tourney, I do believe. Marist is an interesting team. They have a ton of talent, and it will be interesting to see how well that talent translates against big-conference teams. West Virginia lost A TON, but they'll be better than most people think.

Playing the likes of the Savannah States of the world could end up costing Illinois a higher seed or maybe even a bid.

2k Sports announced a MLB game for the wii. Can't wait to play an actual baseball game with these controls. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 06:23 AM) I think you do some sort of motion with the controller for both. The PS3 controller has a motion sensor too, but I've never read, nor heard how it works. Ps3 has no motion sensing, just tilt sensing. Basically, it has the power of the Wii Nunchuck, not the actual controller.
