QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) Reminiscing about the old WWF days a bit, anyone remember this crazy storyline? Oh yeah. But what I don't remember is WWE ever being on Fox. Seems like they've been on SPIKE and USA for the last ten years.

World of Warcraft
Extremly Nooby questions: 1) Is there any ever massive battles, like horde vs alliance? Is there like a system where certain races can take over certain territories from other races? 2) What will the Burning Crusade provide extra/how much/when? I'm guessing I need the original to buy it. But I believe the demo is actually the full version of the game and its your account that is limited. Anyone want to clear this up for me?

Calling All Video Game Nerds
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 04:15 AM) I'm a huge fan of survival horror video games. When Eternal Darkness came out several years ago I was tempted to buy the Gamecube counsel solely because of it. Several magazines reviews I read labeled it the best game within the entire genre. 40 hours as gameplay, as IGN estimated, is unbelievable when you consider most Silent Hill/Resident Evil games run under 20. Perhaps the only competitor (which I haven't yet played, but asked for a Christmas gift) is Resident Evil 4. RE4 is awesome. Right now their offering it in a package with REmake, and RE Zero for $40. Not a bad deal at all. EDIT: Forgot you don't have a Cube though, so that plan is voided.

Calling All Video Game Nerds
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 12:38 AM) B>W, do you know if the Nintendo DS is compatible with the Wii? If so, is there additional software required for the connection? Yeah, not yet though. My guess is that it would start next month with the release of WarioWare Wii. Not sure how they will incorporate one another, but I guess eventually the Wii will act as a download center for the DS where you will be able to download DS demos and other things right onto DS from your Wii.

Calling All Video Game Nerds
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 10:01 PM) If you take a lot of long trips, planes, vacations, long drives and such, it might be wiser to invest in some more PS2 games, a portable screen for the PS2 and a battery pack. I have one of those, it's a disaster.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) also you can play on a free trial at the WoW site..... I think it only allows you to get up to lvl 20 or something like that.... but thats more than enuf time to figure out if you will enjoy it or not. Yeah I just did this. I'm playing, on my 7th day of the trial, up to level 6. I'm so confused on this game. The learning curb is way too steep(Even for me who thinks WarCraft III is the best gam ever created).

Calling All Video Game Nerds
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) This was the number one item on both my kids lists. My video game system expertise peaked right around the days of Intellivision, so I'm out of my realm. Any insights from folks more up to speed would be helpful. They are 7 and almost 9 years old, and they do have a PS2 console system. Santa will NOT be dropping a huge wad of cash on any next generation console systems, but he may relent and leave one or two of these if the reviews are favorable. Are there a good number of games for that age range between the DS games and the legacy gameboy Advance games? Is the wi-fi plug and play? I already have a IEEE 802.11 network at home so are these things good to go out of the box? If they each get their own unit (ouch!), would they also need to have duplicate game cards to play wirelessly against one another or can the machines read card data from each other? How rugged are they? Any other thoughts? Many thanks . . . slackers! 1. Yes. The DS is the best selling video game system of all-time, which means plenty of companies come out with plenty of games ranging in a wide range of categories. 2. Should work right out of the box with Wi-Fi. 3. Most games you will only need 1 cart to play each, some you may need 2. 4. Pretty much unbreakable.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 12:38 AM) If IU is a mid-major, I'd hate to see what other programs would be called. 5 National Titles, yeah, mid major. Laughable. Guess EJ thought they were mid majors too. It was a jokkkkkkkkkke. And as for the EJ shot, I could care less on that situation.

Reinsdorf speaks
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 04:20 AM) Uh, the players have more to do with that. It's not Bill Veeck's fault that the 1959 White Sox didn't beat the Dodgers and Reinsdorf doesn't deserve anymore credit for the Starting Four of 2005 especially now that he's crying poor and reverting to his true form. I'd wait to see if he spends that 10 million elsewhere before saying that. We're still looking at a payroll at about 90-100 million, which puts us near the top of the league.

- Garcia to Philly for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez
QUOTE(RX Bandits @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) This point was on B&B and it should shut up people complaining about the trade. Remember when KW traded "untouchable" miguel olivo (sucks now) for freddy garcia and sure some people on this board hated that trade. Fast forward to last year where he traded the greaest CF of all time Aaron Rowand for JIM THOME. Then turns around and trades Garcia who people b****ed about getting ini the first place, for prospects. In short, If you fall in love with players, it is costly, and baseball retarted. I heard it too, but I think they missed the point. The problem here was not losing the player as it was in all those other cases. Everyone knew either Freddy of Javy would be gone by April 1st. What everyone here wants to know is wether we got enough in such a crazed market. Although I don't mind this trade so much, I don't think there is an argument against that.- KW's comments on the Sox Future
It doesn't have to be one or the other. We can have a WS caliber ball-club and still have a solid minor-league system. The loss of Garcia is not too big on paper. We have guys who can fill that void. The only criticism of the trade should be on wether we got enough or not.- Search Engine
Is it going to be turned back on? Maybe I missed it, but was it just turned on to save traffic? Or has it been off for awhile now?- Garcia to Philly for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez
For Barry- Garcia to Philly for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez
The TB deals are making more and more sense. However, Floyd is still no replacement in a deal for McCarthy. I guess Floyd makes McCarthy more expendable for us, but I highly doubt we go into 07 with Floyd in the totation. - Garcia to Philly for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez
