2 Tickets Lower Deck for TONIGHT
QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) I am selling 2 tickets tonight section 112, row 15. I paid $32 each + ticketmaster fee's. I am looking for the best offer(face or below face) because it is so close to game time, and you will have to meet me to pick them up. I work right on 167th and Kedzie, so we would have to meet somewere around there. If interested, send me a PM with how much you want to buy the pair for. Thanks, Mike Mods, can this please stay in the Pale Hose talk since more people read this part of the board then the ticket exchange part. Since the game is only 5+ hours away, I hope you will leave it here. If you cant I am sorry for putting it here. I may or may not be PMing you soon.

Score over Espn 1000
- I love Murph. He is the only radio guy in Chicago who will consistently talk baseball. Something key when the city's hot radio discussion is who the back-up left offensive line-man will be. Really, I don't care. - The Score needs to learn that you don't need an arrogant radio personality to be successful. See Mike and Mike in the Morning for reference. - Mike North is fine. I think he's a good fit for the morning lineup, just not well suited anywhere else. - Boers and Bernstein are unlistenable. And before the "Oh you just don't understand their show comments", I do. Their act/gimmick has gotten tiresome.

Bullpen problem and how to fix it
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 07:39 PM) Eyre was talking sh*t about the Sox despite everyone thinking it was Howry, On Sox fans: "I'm sure the die-hards are going crazy, but if the fans are the same as when I was there, the majority probably don't care," said Howry. "I noticed early in the season they weren't packing them in."

Herm
QUOTE(fullcollapse @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) regression to the mean... he is 33 years old with a bad back and his 05 numbers were very good compared to his past years. could he come back and pitch like he did last year, sure. the chances of it are just very low. Kalapse said "If he had not injured his back". I don't think anyone would have expected him to pitch like last year, but to say he would have been as bad as Politte is just dumb. Just because both had good years last year has nothing to do with anything. Each is their seperate case.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 03:50 AM) You sure do add a lot. I used to like your "being an ass" comebacks. But this...this was just lame.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 03:45 AM) You should pretty much just forget the name Dustin Hermanson all together. The guy is comming off a very serious injury and should not be expected to give the the Sox anything at all this year. Even if he does come back, he'd probably put up numbers comparable to one Clifford Politte. Hell you thought Cliff had a career year last year, just take a look at what Hermanson did. If Hermanson had not injured his back he would have been a prime candidate along with Politte to have a down year. **Tries to find any existing logic in this one**

Have the Sox just gotten fat and lazy?
QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) I'm starting to wonder if it is partly Thome's fault, even indirectly for a few reasons. First, it meant the loss of Rowand who was pretty fiery, in addition to being a centerfielder who could hit and play defense properly. Second, while our offense has certainly stepped up a notch as a result, I wonder if this hasn't affected the mindset of the team. Like others have said, we're not the hungry, scrappy team we were last year and it seems like we're willing to make some mistakes in the field and pitching because the team seems to think they can score the runs to make it up. I don't even know what to say to this.

Boys State Volleyball Title
This was the biggest joke of a volleyball title ever. There were no quality teams this year.
