  2. Me. Because I want a World Series, Dammit!
  3. I switch off. Right now I'm using Dark Grey, which means avatars on the rightside. Pink is the easiest on the eyes, although it is still disturbing to use. Soxtalk needs one like Southsiders.net. Theirs is just awesome.

  5. Fox Cancels ALCS After Just Two Episodes October 13, 2005 | Onion Sports LOS ANGELES—Fox Entertainment president Peter Liguori announced Thursday that the network is pulling the plug on ALCS, the new three-hour drama/comedy about two rival clubs competing for the coveted "pennant," just two shows into its run. "This uninspired series featured a cast of uninteresting characters, a hackneyed plot, and more boring narration than actual meaningful dialogue," Liguori said. "We tried to find an audience on Tuesdays, then on Wednesdays, and we were prepared to move its time slot to Friday nights or Saturday afternoons before ultimately realizing that the series had zero potential." Television experts cited several other possible reasons for the early cancellation, such as the overly expensive sets and costumes, the show's subject matter, and the fact that the series' projected breakout character—a brash, outspoken black man named Carl Everett—tested very poorly with audiences. Fox remains optimistic about its other fledgling program, NLCS, but critics say the series has "very little chance" of making it past seven episodes.

  8. ESPN.com's poll is crap. No way Iowa, Kansas, or Inidiana should be close to the polls at this point. I liked TSN's better: 1. Michigan State 2. Duke 3. Texas 4. UCONN 5. Villanova 6. Arizona 7. Oklahoma 8. Louisville 9. Kentucky 10. Gonzaga 11. Boston College 12. Nevada 13. Syracuse 14. Stanford 15. Memphis 16. Wake Forest 17. UCLA 18. Iowa State 19. Texas Tech 20. Georgetown 21. Illinois 22. Alabama 23. Iowa 24. Maryland 25. Miami And on ISU, they are a good team, rank worthy IMO. However, they are not the "best backcourt combo in the MidWest". Atleast, not when those two guards 26% of their 3's last year.
  9. Can I get Chat Crew on mine?
  10. Atleast he has not claimed not be a Sox fan in the past and has yet to totally bash them. He's better than most of the 'wagoners.
  11. Why not dedicate the award to some HoF, to make it more prestigous ala the Cy Young award? Wouldn't hurt. Oh, and congrats to Cliffy who I believe was the only non-closer canidate.
  12. First off, I agree. Umpire good calls/mistakes are just another part of the game. Let it stay that way. Second off, Replay would not have made a difference for the case in last night's game. You could call it either way, really 50/50. Not to mention, to overturn an original call, you would need "Overwhelming" evidence, or whatever term they use for football. There certainly was none of that in the case of last night's game.
  13. QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 12:53 AM) Gotta love the jOeOWNED pic. Thank you, thank you.
  14. I'd say 3.5 mill per 3 years. What was Randa's deal last offseason?

  17. But the Red Sox winning was just a huge national 12 month party!!!!!
  18. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) who played? No idea who he was. He just had a wood guitar and mic and that was that. They said he was in a band, but took on a singles career and has a couple songs atop the Billboards charts. Then there was the guy who did a Jimi Hendrix style National Athem. It was really, really good and his guitar had an awesome Sox logo on it. I believe they just said he was a local guy though.
  19. 1st off, that concert was way out of place. I have never heard 40,000 people so quiet in my life. There were some pity claps, but that was it. The guy was pretty talented, just no one had any idea who he was and his bluegrass style was not suited well at all for 40,000 people in a rock concert atmosphere. Anyway, anyone catch him at the end? "Thanks Chicago. Go Red Sox!" Reminded me of that one Airline commerical where the guy says "We love you Detroit" and the crowd goes quiet as he finds out it was Cleveland he was in. Oh yeah, and who ever did that national athem kicked ass, and so did the Sox guitar.
  20. This is funny. Patrick and Brantley are really going at it. They are clearly pissed at each other.
