Nice call by the booth

I don’t think I will ever understand why teams shift with an infielder directly behind the pitcher

Sox hitters really need to stop guessing with 2 strikes. That’s where the organizational philosophy needs to change

Also don’t like to see the Giolito exaggerated leg kick after the pitch. He’s not even close with his breaking pitches.

Remember when people on here didn’t want him this offseason because of Palka?

Yeah might not want to throw fastballs down the plate to these juicers

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
Not giving up by any means, but I don’t think he’s a TOR pitcher due to his inability to go long in games. I also don’t trust Cooper to bring the best out of him.

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
Is Thor even an ace? Kopech is untouchable for me, but if you want to do Cease, Walker and Collins for him....I’m game

Sox interested in Mazara?
62nd out of 66 in terms of fWAR for qualified outfielders. 1.5 cumulative career fWAR. This would be settling for mediocrity.

Sox changing up their amateur scouting department according to Mark Gonzales
Thank you!!! Looks like a bunch of replacement level players at best. One thing as the rebuild kicks into contending that many fans have to recalibrate is what should be considered starting material. No more Yolmer or “maybe Cordell or Tilson” or Rutherford. Especially for positions like 1B and RF, we should be taking about impact bats.

Heck no to giving up Lopez for him. He has to be one of the worst everyday outfielders the last three years, and it’s not like there’s a lot of control left. Someone like Fry or Collins is the most I would be ok with them giving up.

RF isn’t exactly a hard spot to fill. I have no problem with Vaughn over Bleday if they viewed him as the better bat.

Don’t look up his fWAR during his career. What a waste of god-given talent

Sox interested in Mazara?
This article sure seems to imply it, including that they had scouts there yesterday. https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/texas-rangers/rangers/2019/07/24/mike-minor-prize-teams-seek-not-ranger-discussed-ahead-trade-deadline

Fish at Palehose: 5:10 EST Reylo against tonight's Cy Young Zac Gallen
I bet Yolmer had such an amazing celebration planned. I can't wait to hear about what his favorite vacation was tomorrow during the broadcast and have Stone/Benetti act like he's the funniest person on the planet.

Reed seems incapable of hitting anything below the belt.

Two straight hangers and can't do anything with it. He's a very bad player.

Just swing hard 3 times Reed

want to lose....I believe that's on Renteria's resume for "strengths"

Should be fun next 4 games against a high scoring offense

Steve Stone with a dose of reality for Sox fans
I'm going to say probably 95% of us on here didn't want the Hahn/KW front office to be the ones to lead the rebuild.

Can I get an alert when there's actually something important added to this story? Thanks

Also notice how perfect their defensive positioning has been the last two nights? Definitely plays into how well their starters have performed this year.

I absolutely get that, but why are we giving those guys at bats? No reason Collins isn't getting at bats at DH and Mendick playing 2nd base. This lineup looks like a first year rebuilding team, not one that is hoping the window is open the next year.

Deja vu to the Giolito start at Tampa
