For starters, I would expect better than the Twins scoring 25 of the last 26 runs in the series. Everything about this series after the 2nd inning on Friday sucked. Hitting was terrible, pitching was ridiculously bad besides Covey and the outfield defense was embarrassing.

I get the character strengths, but it doesn’t mean much to me if a player’s team won in college, etc. Oregon St. was loaded as you obviously know. You can have all the character in the world, but it doesn’t mean you can easily add 15 pounds of muscle on a frame that might not be able to support it.

If anything, he is a possible platoon to play vs LHP. Contact issues have always been an issue with him. Anyone that ever thought the Collins/Seby platoon was going to be the future at catcher was fooling themselves

I don’t feel like Collins is good enough to impact future decisions. Does anyone really think he’s going to be able to hit over .220 in the majors? He will get his walks of course and should have solid power numbers, but we’re talking about a platoon 1b that we have no idea how his defense will be.

It’s less about who they got for him and more about it being another example of how freaking awful the coaching staff is throughout the organization?
