4-5 2b for Robert. Nice call on the big night
  2. At last check, Moncada is 28th out of 29 qualified 3rd baseman defensively on fangraphs. Anderson is 23rd out of 25 for qualified SS. The Sox would be the worst defensive team in baseball if not for the Mariners AMAZING defensive season so far.
  3. Not pretty for Yoan...3 garbage at bats after a nice single in the 2nd inning.

So for those that are watching, what the hell is with Ian Hamilton? Did Kipnis ruin him?
  5. outside of Ron, does anyone dislike Abreu?
  6. I don't get it...he let Banuelos get embarrassed, and instead of being able to save the bullpen, he basically did the exact opposite of what you'd expect.
  7. Nope, pitching one of our two reliable relievers
  8. Moncada hasn't exactly proven to be a stellar defensive player, and god knows Timmy is streaky defensively.
  9. There is no successful rebuild if they don't spend significant money. They're not good enough developing prospects. I know one report recently came out that said they're the worst in baseball, and equally as bad at developing hitters as they are pitchers.

    another hit for Robert

    Not going well for Burdi
  12. Yep, he's getting too many 0-2 and 1-2 counts again. He hasn't hit a ball with authority in a long time. Hopefully he does well against Porcello tomorrow, as that's a good matchup for him. These games would be much more manageable if him and Anderson weren't seeing their numbers free falling.

    Collins sure, Robert no chance

It is, what's the deal with him

Some guy against Kanny has 13 homers already on the year. Thought it was a typo
  16. It's funny, but I completely disagree when Hahn says development isn't linear. It seems in the last decade or so, it's been pretty rare for a prospect to completely tank in a season and then go on to excel for the rest of their career. For every Roy Halladay, there's hundreds of guys that just faded away.
  17. problem is that if he is replaced and they bring in someone in-house like has been rumored, it does the Sox no good if it's still a similar philosophy.
  18. This stat sums up Sox pitching. 1 swing and miss on 49 fastballs thrown so far tonight.
  19. He'll be fine, but he was definitely struggling in the early going. Meanwhile, Chavis is a freaking beast.
  20. Sox hitting has been the least of their problems so far. Outside of Palka and Jimenez, it's been fine.
  21. Well yeah, they've had a ton of games against the White Sox pitchers. I will say that Mondesi looks like a star and Dozier is hitting the crap out of the ball.
  22. The results speak for themselves. Any other team would have fired a pitching coach that underachieved as much as his pitching has the last few years.
  23. You mean their average win total?
  24. Nothing has ever been more fitting though of Sox pitching getting shelled while Garland talks about how much Cooper helped him and the other pitchers back in the early 2000s.
