To me, it would mean Phillies are out because Bryce just doesn't want to go there, not because they're not offering enough. Sox would probably fit that criteria as well.

I don't think he has any intention of playing for a team that won't contend right away.

I'm thinking the Sox are just about out of this, even if they were trying to be under the radar. One of the Giants or Dodgers will end up offering long-term.

I still wish they'd sign Keuchel to a 4 year deal. They could probably get him for a better deal than any of the guys next year, and I think Keuchel might hold up better than any of the guys available next year.

Fulmer just doesn't have much on his pitches. When he throws the ball over the plate, the hitter gets great swings against him.
