Reading the fangraphs report on the farm system, there just doesn’t seem to be anything close to a difference maker on the offensive side in the system. A bunch of guys that likely profile as 7, 8 or 9 hitters. Braden Montgomery probably has the best chance of reaching a high ceiling.

He’s going to be out of baseball in 3 years without about 50 pct of this roster. It’s honestly not possible to get a worse return on trades than the Cease/Fedde deals.
