Heck I'm probably the low man on this board when it comes to Madrigal and the slow start isn't shocking. Wouldn't surprise me if he's pressing now, as between the CWS and his first week in professional baseball, I doubt he's ever had 1 hit in like 25 at bats.
Knock on wood, but even his walks have been pretty close. I know we try to forget, but when he was walking guys earlier in the year, he literally was missing by feet and not inches.
The first of the 5 starts I mentioned was one of those games where there was no reason he was still in for the 8th inning, and he went from 7-2 to 7-4. Outside of the first inning, he's been superb of late with his control.
There are 3 guys in starting lineup Sox could have easily obtained if a few things went their way (Luzardo was supposed to be in DRob trade with Nats, Tatis Jr. and then Adell or Hiura if they slipped one spot in the draft.
