  1. Batting practice, hopefully Leury or Omar gets to pitch tonight.
  2. That was ridiculous.
  3. Covey's body language is fun bad
  4. Why the hell is he still in the game? Does Ricky have a bunch of Rangers players on his daily fantasy team?
  5. Gallardo perfect thru 3 as Sox hitters look like they've never seen a slider.
  6. Give him a breather. DL him for a stint so he can either heal up or reload. Had a bigger workload than he's used to last 5 weeks or so
  7. Daily reminder this team has too much pitching
  8. good god this team sucks tonight. Covey throwing batting practice. Not sure what that 89 mph pitch was.
  9. Seeing him get one swinging strike all game against a non-pitcher is shocking though. And you will love this, but their fans were concerned about his decreased velocity.
  10. Team looks to be giving a good effort tonight. Covey's offspeed pitches are yucky.
  11. Pathetic how hard he's making playing 2nd base look. Stone seems quite annoyed.
  12. Great play call, and another good tag
  13. Covey has no prayer if ump isn't calling the low strike.
  14. Berrios looks all world against the Sox and looked like Felix Diaz vs the Cubs today. Wtf
  15. Yes but if they ask what he will sign for and he says he wants 2 million, it will scare teams off.
  16. Why not work with Basabe (as an example) on situational hitting with runner on 2nd and no outs instead of having him bunt on the first pitch he sees in the 1st inning? I think the bunt stuff came into focus due to Julie, Maybe's tweets
  17. Did they get him to drop a bit by promising a bigger number?
  18. Robert 4-6 double 3RBI
  19. I know his average isn't great, but I've been very impressed with Eloy's selectiveness so far for Charlotte. Hasn't chased a lot of junk pitches. With his strength, he's going to put up big numbers if he can put so many balls in play.
  20. And for those that don't follow the minor leagues (and tweets from observers), the excessive bunting seems to be happening with those teams as well. Omar, especially, in W-Salem seems to be abusing it.
  21. I don't think he's close to being 100%. Also I don't think he's going to be a huge power hitter. If he can be a player that hits .265 with 15 homers and steals 30 bases while playing CF, that would be a great investment.
  22. Something that the Sox drafting philosophy the last few years has created is the sense that they better immediately produce in the minors given their age/college status. If Sheets is still not hitting for power a year from now, then by all means, the pick can be ripped. When I've seen him hit on TV, I don't really like his stance. Seems really easy for pitchers to get him to chop the ball on the ground.
  23. Yeah, I haven't seen him much live to really give an opinion on him. Tonight was one of the first times, but it's hard to really form an opinion given his rustiness and the horrible Barons video. One thing that I'm sure we've all noticed in watching the game logs is that it's basically a double whenever someone reaches base against him.
  24. Leury played SS in one of his rehab games. They just prefer Engel over him in CF, it's been that way since ST.
