Are there any part-time catchers anymore?

As of 8/8/18, he's Theo's daddy

Saw that...another indictment on the coaching staff

Best throw all year

Tagged him on knee real quickly. Easily out

Amazing throw and tag

Yay!!!

Haha Engel trying to hit Severino

Timmy!

Given the struggles of Yoan and Anderson, it's hard to see how Steverson sticks around after this season.

Who the hell knows with this organization. To me, the big 3 coaches should be gone the second the season ends.

Another two strike hit allowed tonight. Massive hanger...really wish he would ditch it and just use the slider

Well he needed a whole new approach and coaching, correct?

Giolito such a different pitcher from the windup

That's also cause the Yankees and Cubs are incredible at developing offensive players and the Sox have been a complete failure in that category. Hell, Andujar looks significantly better than Yoan does.

Second pitch about the worst swing of his life

Also cause of the spin rate though

It has a neg 12.8 value on fangraphs. Might be the single worst pitch anyone has in baseball in terms of value.

Both suck. His fastball spin rate is terrible, he can't throw his curve for a strike. He's pretty much having an epically bad season for a starting pitcher in the post-steroid era.

It's August 8th and his ERA is 6.31

Every metric says his pitch quality sucks

Why in the living hell was he not from the windup? He's sucked all year from the stretch.

It took me ten minutes of listening to the Cooper podcast with Chuck to realize why Cooper needs to go. He said he doesn't care if our pitchers strike out hitters. In today's baseball, you need that. What a heartless effort by Lucas.

Why is he pitching from the stretch with bases loaded?

Well yeah his stuff is subpar, despite what JParkman believes
