Maddon has acted like a total jerk about the issue. No shock the Score is afraid to call him out for it.

This was great. Henzman definitely will be given a chance to start. Have a feeling they will keep Tyler Johnson at back of the pen

Nationals acquire Doolittle/Madson from As
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 20, 2017 -> 05:15 AM) I can easily see Washington being interested in Kahnle more actually. Still think they want a true closer. To me, Dodgers are a great fit for Kahnle

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 20, 2017 -> 05:06 AM) AJ Ramos. Think there was a report that said they don't think he's good.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 20, 2017 -> 03:47 AM) Neshek and Madson concern me the most. Neshek isn't a closer though

Jordan Stephens and Blake Hickman
QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 20, 2017 -> 03:47 AM) Jordan Stephens had some of the best peripherals in all A+ ball last year and has the stuff showing with it. His FB and the CB are MLB pitches. This is a guy that stat guys and scouts both like. He gets high praise for his makeup and competitiveness. There is plenty to like about him and he just got lost in the flurry with all the new prospects and his injury. There is a lot to like about him. At the very least, I think we should at least wait for the guy to struggle before we write him off as org depth. To me, Stephens is a better starting pitching prospect than Fulmer.

Rizzo with an incredibly dirty collision with Hedges. I'm sure the media won't criticize him for it and Maddon will make a joke about Hedges being hurt

Updated teams interested in Q
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 09:07 PM) I think the Sox are wise to pull in the Dodgers, get Verdugo along with Lux and Keibert Ruiz plus a lottery ticket arm and you are in business. I am not much of a fan of Frazier, not sure he is going to make enough contact to really warrant being a centerpiece of a deal. He seems to be a right handed Matt Joyce, which while nice, isn't extremely valuable. Mateo's 30% K rate in A ball makes him a non factor in a deal. Kaprelian's TJS takes him out of the equation. I am sure the Sox would take Torres despite the TJS, but without him the Yanks really have to bring a lot of depth because the top of their system is not nearly as strong as some make it out to be. That's not nearly enough for Q. Reports are that Lux looks horrible.

6/19 Games (Great Falls in action for first time)
QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 08:11 PM) One familiar name in the footprint is first year pitching coach, and former Sox draft pick and local product John Ely. Had no idea he was promoted to the majors and pitched 100 innings in 2012, after a pretty bad year in the minors nonetheless. Good for him that he's now covered with lifetime pension and healthcare coverage, and found a new role back in the organization that drafted him. He's going to climb the ladder big time in this organization
