  1. QUOTE (reiks12 @ May 3, 2017 -> 01:32 AM) Sale is going to get his cy young this year. It is going to be strange to watch him get inducted in the HOF as a member of the Red Sox Don't see him having the longevity to be a HOFer

Fulmer back to walking the world
  3. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 3, 2017 -> 12:24 AM) Watching Chris Sale right now makes it even more mind-boggling what the White Sox did to him last year with the 'pitch to contact' BS and the horrible framing So true

QUOTE (daggins @ May 2, 2017 -> 11:59 PM) The people are excited for YoMo. A note - the pitcher going against Kanny has not allowed a baserunner in the last 12 innings. He has a perfecto last time and so far is doing the same tonight. Nice jinx
  5. Sale looks better than ever

    Moncada bomb
  7. Have a feeling Shields is gonna miss a few months. He's reporting no progress
  8. Shields and Rodon gonna miss a lot more time. Things are gonna get ugly
  9. Glasnow sucks
  10. What an uneventful, boring game. Please pitch well Q
  11. QUOTE (harkness @ May 2, 2017 -> 03:15 AM) I just can't see Covey having any real future.... mediocre stuff with bad control.. doesn't equate. I would rather see Danish. Maybe put Covey in the pen to see if he can throw harder? As a starter, he's awful
  12. Narvaez has got to improve defensively
  13. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 2, 2017 -> 02:51 AM) It actually doesn't. He moved to the bullpen in 2012 and the velo started ticking up in 2015. The upside is obvious, he's worth more to the Sox as a competent 5th starter than a 6th inning guy. My thinking as well, and it's worth the risk IMO. He's never going to have trade value as a reliever
  14. QUOTE (Tony @ May 2, 2017 -> 02:50 AM) I'm not understanding the "We need to get rid of Covey right now" group. If no one is ready in AA or AAA (which is a whole different issue itself) then what are you even asking for at that point? A change just to make a change? I think he's gone when shields returns
  15. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 2, 2017 -> 02:43 AM) I'd give him back to the Athletics, try Swarzak for a couple of starts and promote Cory Luebke. Sounds like a good plan
  16. QUOTE (daggins @ May 2, 2017 -> 02:34 AM) If Collins has to both learn how to catch AND reconfigure his swing, we aren't going to see him for a while, if ever. I would have much rather see him dominate offensively and struggle defensively this year. Season is still early, but his hit tool seems extremely mediocre
  17. QUOTE (Scoots @ May 2, 2017 -> 01:24 AM) Coveys is lucky to just have given that up He's got to be one of the most mediocre starters the Sox have had in a while. Oh well, just needs to give innings while Rodon gets his arm amputated
  18. Never in doubt! Nice swing there
  19. Another professional AB for May
  20. Covey has nothing on these pitches. Sinker up in the zone and curve he can't command.
  21. QUOTE (ptatc @ May 2, 2017 -> 12:21 AM) I think it's a natural response to struggling. Instead of being aggressive you just try to put the ball in play. Soft hit pct up 14 pct this year
  22. Anderson needs to try to pull the ball more with authority. He seems passive at the plate and is hitting a lot of weak pop ups
