Yoan! Best swing in forever

Off of probably Cubs 2nd best pitching prospect

Blake Bomb! He's been on fire

I think Yolmer and Davidson are the wild cards

He just needs to stop guessing. Why look for offspeed pitch when you can't hit it and take fastballs down the plate? This is where having a strong coaching staff would also help.

Yeah yolmer doesn't have the bat to be a full time 3rd baseman. Definitely better off as a utility player and opens up 3rd for a power bat the next two offseasons. As for Yoan, not a lot to say. He needs to stop reading the press clippings and work on getting better.

Problem isn't the strikeout totals right now. It's the lack of extra base hits and walks.

Yep, if Yoan doesn't turn into an above average player, then Hahn and the development team should be heavily criticized

Braves, as if Albies hits for power, he has a better hit tool than Moncada.

10 pitches, 3 strikeouts. He's chasing offspeed pitches and taking fastballs. This sucks

Pretty pointless to let Giolito start the inning

That would be a disaster given his command and inability to hold runners

Oh yay, 92 mph fastball gets destroyed after blown call

This umpire sucks also

Not sure it's mental, rather he's too tall and unathletic to repeat his delivery

Poor Davidson

Have this inning on mute and it's been splendid

It's called loser's limp

Crap, this start went to hell quickly. He's still far from being MLB caliber right now.

His stuff also just isn't nearly as good from the stretch.

And just like that, he's up to 4 walks in the 4th inning

He still is a work in progress. Way better tonight, but he still seems to lose it every fourth batter or so.

Wasn't that just a massive jam shot off of Kimbrel? Didn't see second half of game though.

Yep not trying to shorten up, not trying to go to left. When's the last time he drove a ball hard to left field batting lefty? It's impossible because he's flying open.

Yoan just can't hit anything offspeed right now. He looks god awful and continues to make no changes.
