QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 10:14 PM) This is looking like 4th place and 76-86. Robertson and Melky should be on the block come end of July -

These at bats are just awful. I'm not even mad about this tailspin. Talent level on the team is nowhere near championship caliber. -

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 10:09 PM) You mean the lineup with J.B. Shuck batting 5th & Jimmy Rollins DHing?! Shuck has a future as a fungo hitter before games in a few years -

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 10:07 PM) To be fair, the lineup Pelfrey's facing is significantly worse, but hey trade for another pitcher, Hahn! Jay Bruce probably cost you two times the prospect value for what you could have got him at three months ago -

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 10:04 PM) It's miserable watching this team at this point. Such a talent gap between Tigers lineup and the Sox right now. With Abreu a non-factor this year, it's just a punchless offense. -

I hate this new version of Sale -
I feel bad for Zangari. He's doing his best Hawkins impression from a few years ago. Good thing he has great intangibles to stay strong during this rough season.
-
I wonder if Dunn is pitching himself into a top ten pick

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 03:02 AM) Zeros all around. Ventura/Cooper did their usual dog and pony show - leave the struggling pitcher in the game until he pitches the Sox out of the game. Cooper/Hahn for bringing this guy up. Another sorry bit of talent evaluation from Hahn and his scouts on this guy Kahnle. And Cooper, once gain, didn't fix him. Kahnle was a wild card. Cooper hasn't even had a lot of time around him. With that said, the Sox would really benefit from Cooper or Stevetson turning nothing into something to help the talent level on the roster.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:39 AM) Just so people know, L. Garcia got taken out of the game early so he could be the one coming up Hbp I believe
-
Team has no prayer if Eaton, Abreu and Frazier aren't above average hitters. Expected loss, but disappointing to see them get blown out late. Sale needs to be ready from pitch one tomorrow against a loaded lineup
-
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:29 AM) Could can play those positions but not a great theres Best use of him is to be part if a package to upgrade another position Doubt he gets you much. To me, his ceiling is a quality utility player. Don't think he will ever hit enough to start.
-
Rodon and Purke are possibly the two biggest lefty college prospects of the last ten years. Only other one I can recall is Hultzen.
-
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:23 AM) I don't agree . He's a useful glove and switch hitter. If he's the best guy for the job let him contribute with what he does best. But he can't hit. And lawrie is one of the few above average position players this team has
-
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:20 AM) Can't go there yet. 6 weeks? Maybe. Yep no band-aids. Either big upgrades or wait til deadline and sell if you are 8-10 games out. The current team is just not good enough overall with too many holes. Guys better start performing better if they want to stay close to more talented teams.
-
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:20 AM) So who gets sent back to the minors 1st Kahnle or Purke ? Kahnle
-
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:19 AM) Only time sanchez should be on the major league roster is letting him try to see if he can be a everyday player and carry his weight in hitting. Sox can't afford to let that happen with them if they can contend Can't see him being a difference maker on a competing team. Just too weak of a hitter to me.
-
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 03:13 AM) This us so frustrating vwatchubfca complete bullpen meltdown Just think of it as Sox losing a split-squad game tonight. This particular lineup and bullpen would lose a huge portion of the games they play.
-
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 03:13 AM) Not to mention our terribleness against righthanders. Rollins and Sands should be the first ones off the 25. Try Coats keep Sanchez up and on the team. We have discussed all season how poorly the bench has been put together, and the two guys being out tonight exposed that depth.
-
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:11 AM) But Shuck has reverse splits but then Sand would have to play the OF eaton could move to CF. if Sands is supposed to be on roster to hit LHP, be nice to see him get an ab there
-
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 03:08 AM) That's what I said is still the biggest need even during the BP meltdowns. Those were just regression to the mean. They won;t be great but overall they are a decent pen. They just are lacking difference makers offensively. Even if you put Melky and Austin in the lineup, there is a huge lack of power. The Sox have 6 homers all year from the outfield and 2 from catchers
-
Nice to see Shuck batting against a LHP in the 8th inning of a game. Sands has been used/not used in the strangest ways this year
-
Hahn's gonna have to get a big bat if this team wants to stay in it. Even if they get a mid rotation starter, you're going to need to be able to score a decent amount of runs to win games in this division.
-
Some kind of no-single stretch for Frazier
