  1. Another awful showing for the prospects tonight. Adams gives up far too many hits to be a big prospect.
  2. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 12:37 AM) wait I thought Avi was? Wait I thought Avila was? Now Jackson is? They all suck but Jackson leads them in negative WAR
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 12:26 AM) Abreu a automatic out right now Not a bad swing by him
  4. Stupid slide by Eaton. Jackson continues his climb as worst player in the AL.
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) We face a lefty and NOW Rollins sits. Good lord. +1
  6. QUOTE (chisox802 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 08:22 PM) I agree. If Abreu continues the way he has been, Robin will have to get creative with the line up. If Abreu continues the way he has been, this team has no chance to compete. Robin would have no prayer of keeping this team in games.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) Sox line up https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/723600333356847104 Wow, makes you wonder what they have in the plans for Avi
  8. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) Corey Ray is a guy I keep thinking we will get for some reason. Unlikely it seems, at this point though. Him and Senzel going to be long gone it seems like.
  9. Sox have to show they can be contenders this year to draw some buzz in the city over the summer. We all know it's a Hawks/Cubs town right now, as I'm sure the walk-up crowds won't do much to impact an attendance that is already suffering from poor season ticket sales (we know it has to be poor because there wasn't a single fluff article this offseason saying how ticket sales have been good).
  10. Think the obvious solution reading all these internal solutions is Hahn needs to make a trade sooner rather than later.
  11. Rollins can still hit LHP
  12. QUOTE (lord chas @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 03:20 AM) The drug test urine collector should be knocking on Jake's hotel room tommorrow morning He very well may be completely clean. With that said, if he was doing this on the Sox, I would be skeptical about where the increase in ability came from. Felt that way about a few Sox guys in the past as well.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 03:17 AM) Is this the low point for Sox fans in terms of their relative position against the Cubs? If it wasn't last post-season, or 2003...it feels like it is coming soon. Would hate to compare the tv and radio ratings for the respective series this week...but it would be interesting to see how many more were watching Arrieta tonight (granted, the no-hitter will attract more the last three innings, but the "average" over the broadcast) and compare it with the Sale start. Of course, that's not altogether fair since it was a day game, but the Cubs are just sucking all the air out of the room. It almost makes you cringe HOPING that something bad happens (not an injury to Arrieta)...that strange sensation of rooting almost as hard against the Cubs as for the White Sox. Sox are off to a good start. Things could be much, much worse. I know you don't live in Chicago but espn1000 doesn't even have anyone covering the Sox.
  14. QUOTE (Boogua @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 03:18 AM) And hit 440 ft home runs as a pitcher. He looks like a professional wrestler
  15. Hawks were on Comcast and Cubs on plus, FYI
  16. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 03:17 AM) While it seems unnecessary, a no hitter is a no hitter. Dang the Cubs are nuts. NL just absolutely sucks outside a few teams. Must be nice to have ten games in a row against Reds, Brewers and Braves
  17. QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 03:15 AM) SI seems to think it was Pilates and his diet that made him a better pitcher. I don't think Loaiza was this good when he was signed and turned it around. I understand they were chasing history but I think it's stupid to have your pitcher throw 120 pitches when he is ahead by 16. Why isn't everyone doing Pilates if it makes you gain 2 mph
  18. From the parts I saw tonight, it was the worst command he's had in a long time. Reds pretty much gave up after the first inning. An amazing stat I saw is the last 6 times Cubs scored in first inning for him, he hasn't allowed a run in that game.
  19. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 02:09 AM) 2 no hitters in his last 11 starts 20-1 in his last 24 starts He's good Best stretch of our lifetime by far I believe
  20. Hey at least he threw 120 pitches in a 16-0 game
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 01:54 AM) Rizzo hitting a buck 90 avg so far. And still has an OPS over .800 I believe
