fathom

Two months ago I would have said no, but he's added four big time offensive guys recently in Robert, Burger, Sheets and Jimenez. Like someone else said, the available money for free agency down the road should be special

QUOTE (Quin @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 01:09 AM) You're not getting Stanton without giving up one of Moncada, Robert or Eloy unless teams are really balking at the money. Stanton is rumored to be a salary dump

Legend of Acuna continues

Some boring leadoff hitter on Charlotte singled

Passan was on the Score and thought Dodgers would go after Britton, Doolittle and a righty. Made it sound like they want to add three relievers.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:21 PM) Mayo says burger, sheets, and skoug will all be top 100 on new list Where he say this

Probably an error as he was activated today

QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:14 PM) See: Torres, Gleyber Cubs had the young players to survive that and Chapman is a game-changer

QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:03 PM) Robertson, Kahnle, Swarzak for Soto, Kieboom, Fedde. Who says no? Easily Nats. Soto is a top 20 guy, you aren't getting him for a reliever

QUOTE (kwill @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 06:32 PM) My second thought. Does anyone ever think about that rumored December three team trade involving the Pirates, Yankees and White Sox? I just wonder was Aaron Judge a second piece to that deal? Damn what could have been. He wasn't

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 07:26 PM) At the very least, would take Jimenez over Rutherford 10x over (though statements like this ... certainly could come back) Fwiw, in today's chat, KLaw said Rutherford isn't hitting anything hard this year

I love the Mo St SS. Looked better than Burger to me

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 06:43 PM) The Braves, IMO, are the only team who has a great argument. They have Nos. 10, 23, 25, 33, 41, 42, 55, 72 & 76. Like I said earlier, either #1 or #2 at worst. KLaw said in chat it's likely Braves 1, Sox 2

QUOTE (Tony @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 07:16 PM) The two teams just did a blockbuster together, yet fans still think this is a "thing" If I'm ok with it, everyone should be

KLaw thinks Eloy will be a star

QUOTE (FT35 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 06:44 PM) Not to mention having the potential story line developing of "Cubs turned everything around when they got Quintana from the White Sox." If that happens, it will be nice having that little White Sox Brand reminder peppered into the Cubs late-season coverage. That would be bad publicity for the Sox

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 04:46 PM) Cubs not needing to offload any of their current 25 roster talent is a win for them. They are back in LatAm game where they performed well. Longterm I'd take Jimenez over happ, but they are getting quintana for next 2 years (at least) for their championship window. And there's also the looming possibility of them going after Harper

Now I can watch Eloy highlights and not be jealous

There goes our chances at the Wild Card

Q has always been a favorite. Now go suck for the Cubs and return to the Sox in four years

Wetbutt nailed it

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 03:34 PM) Hahaha. I love you, Fathom. I love Eloy but Cease is such a wild card that one more solid guy would have been nice

Wish the back half was stronger

On the red line radio podcast, WSD said Sox talkingto Brewers, Braves and Cubs but also are deep in talks with Houston

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 04:40 AM) I can definitely see the latter 2 if the rumors are true about lower lewel spects. Law likes Albertos alot. So does Longenhagen
