QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ May 14, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) I love Lawrie, but he's on pace to K 200+ times this year. Swings through more fastballs than anyone I've seen in a while

All the makings of another Arrieta no hitter today. He's destroyed Pitt in the past and the weather is awful.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 14, 2016 -> 06:02 PM) Those were pretty nasty sinking change ups. They were but can't be trying uppercut swing on pitches like that

Definitely not the team you want to have to come from behind late against

Matt Purke recalled from Charlotte.
He was rumored to be a top 3 pick in the draft but fell due to bonus demands I believe.

Abreu
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 13, 2016 -> 09:16 PM) His bat speed looks slower than the lightning quickness he used to have. If you go back and look at his first half 2014 highlights, it's incredibly evident. He rarely turns on an inside fastball anymore.

Hammel has been a great pitcher the first half of the previous two seasons, and then he's completely fallen apart during the second half. Hopefully that happens again this season.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) For what it would take to get Trout, I don't think it'd be worth it for anyone to trade for him. Yep, it's not like Cubs really need him. If anything, they should keep their trade chips for another ace pitcher under control.

Abreu
Good stuff...shockingly, he's tied for the lowest fWAR on the team with Jackson (among starters)

QUOTE (Brian @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) Any trade for Trout would start with Bryant. Plain and simple. Still, they don't have the pitching to get it done. Mets seem like a better fit, as they could offer something like Syndergaard, Conforto and prospects.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:11 PM) The proposals I've seen about this are hilarious You mean a team that desperately needs pitching wouldn't want Duane Underwood as the only pitching prospect they receive?

Jason >>>>>>>>>>> Hawk
I have no problem with him going down to the booth, as CSN didn't have someone like Dan Hayes roaming around the dugout on the road.
