  1. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 03:56 AM) God, I f***ing hate Kaplan. Of course this s*** would come from him. Funny that the story is similar to the Fowler-Orioles debacle that he called Fowler a tremendous human being for
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 04:49 AM) Kaplan comes how many hours after this broke and is throwing his 2 cents in. Someone pro-LaRoche is clearly leaking stuff. His meat company is giving these tweets a thumbs up as well
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 04:48 AM) Oh, chill. I said that about Sale well before that quote, to be honest.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 04:47 AM) If no players are really complaining too much and it's mostly Kenny, I almost hope laroche comes back. Some more details need to come out here, and it would be nice if LaRoche speaks too. Yep I wonder if for team chemistry reasons it's better for him to return.
  5. Better win this year or there's no doubt in my mind he requests a trade https://mobile.twitter.com/thekapman/status...310390891065344
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 04:41 AM) Two more weeks left in Arizona. They should have just got through it and established better rules next year when he'd be gone. I can see why he and his teammates are pissed if the organization went back on a handshake agreement.
  7. Oh darn, Sox will struggle to sign big time free agents now Agents will have to find a different team to use against bidders
  8. Strong words here by Jim Bowden https://mobile.twitter.com/JimBowden_ESPN/s...306693758910464

  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 03:17 AM) We need to bring in illinilaw. If LaRoche was promised that privilege, everyone in the Sox organization (especially the players) were aware of this fact, as well as some of his ex-teammates like Harper or Boyer...would the White Sox be covered legally because there wasn't an explicit promise written into the contract? At any rate, it still makes the White Sox look bad if that was the case. They shouldn't have offered that "open clubhouse" policy in the first place unless they were willing to deal with the consequences. Isn't that why they did everything Sunday? They offered it but felt like LaRoche took it a little too far?
  11. Let's make everyone happy and void his contract while letting him become a FA
  12. I will say it is kind of pathetic that Ventura had nothing to say today about everything
  13. QUOTE (ChicagoHeel @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 04:01 AM) @thekapman This White Sox story is one of the most bizarre I have seen in a long time. Good sources tell me it was a condition of LaRoche signing here. @thekapman You are wrong. 100% that he could be there everyday. Otherwise he would not have signed with the White Sox. Ugh this story just won't die
  14. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 02:57 AM) He needs to STFU. These guys are already building all the excuses they need for a slow start. It's ridiculous. STFU and play baseball. He actually said the opposite tonight and they are closer than ever
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 03:11 AM) I don't want to hate Adam Eaton, but here we are. He's an idiot. Hasn't said anything too bad tonight
  16. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 02:59 AM) Twitter is a blessing and a curse. Mostly a curse. For someone quoted today as not wanting to say too much about it, he's been way to vocal about it tonight.
  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 01:48 AM) And now Eaton is retweeting pro-LaRoche things And responding to anti-Laroche tweets. Eaton seems to be one of LaRoche's biggest supporters.
  18. People ask what has changed since last year, and a logical answer is that some of the new players on the roster came into Spring Training and were shocked at how often he was around. The newcomers on this roster are much more vocal than a majority of the roster was last year. If even one player felt uncomfortable about it, then KW had every right to ask LaRoche to dial it back.
  19. Nightengale seems to think LaRoche won't end up retiring. That would truly suck http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/colum...liams/81885844/
  20. I don't think KW wanted to create this much controversy in the clubhouse.
  21. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 11:44 PM) Ok, so let's just throw this out there... Did Kenny act alone and get the exact reaction he wanted? No chance he acted alone, and no, I don't think they thought he would retire. If so, they have this talk 3 months ago.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 11:24 PM) I'm gonna comment first, then read all your comments so to not let them influence me. Yes I despised LaRoche perhaps more than any other player in Sox history. But now, after reading Kenny Williams wouldn't let him bring his son to the clubhouse every day, I have changed my tune. I would gladly see LaRoche hit .150 with 80 percent strikeouts if it meant bringing him back to stick it up Kenny's backside so to speak. What a chicken s*** thing to do to LaRoche. Players bring their kids all the time to clubhouses. Very sad. Wonder if this will hurt the Sox in the future trying to sign guys. Again, I thought LaRoche was a pathetic hitter and I even despised his beard, but after reading this? Let him come back and bleep you, Kenny. FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING Oh boy
  23. Have a feeling the clubhouse is tense as hell https://mobile.twitter.com/CST_soxvan/statu...226685459697664
  24. Molly KnightVerified account ‏@molly_knight If any Dodger brought his kid with him to work every day I promise all 24 of his teammates would have b****ed to me about it for my book.
  25. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 09:54 PM) 2016 Chicago White Sox: Civil War. Sox have the right manager to get everyone on the same page and to play well.....
