QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 11:31 PM) Well, if we did have Addison Reed, we MIGHT have ended up with 75-76 wins....and a lower draft spot in the first round. However, it wasn't a good trade, we know that now...the theory behind it was fine, just the execution was not. Same with the Sergio Santos move as well. The Reed-Davidson trade made sense. The Santos-Molina trade was awful the second it was made, especially with other teams basically saying they didn't know Santos was available and might have given up more.

QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 11:21 PM) Davidson with back-to-back errors. Picture of Danish walking off... https://twitter.com/Norm_Clarke/status/577595164379652096 Given the reaction by those that saw it, I'll be pleasantly surprised if nothing is broken.

Two errors in the inning for Davidson. He just seems to be a bust.

Jack Magruder @JackMagruder 4m4 minutes ago #Dbacks Peralta line drive off White Sox pitcher RHP Danish, who runs out to shortstop in pain and removed from the game holding right arm.
-
keithlaw @keithlaw 2m2 minutes ago Tyler Danish just took a liner off his right forearm or wrist. Leaving the game. Doesn't sound good

QUOTE (Dunt @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) Ha, nice. Same terminology and all!
-
Just give Johnson the starting 2nd base spot, he's earned it
-
Nice 2nd and 3rd innings for Rodon. Also, I know a lot of people are worried about the 2nd base spot, but I honestly feel like the catching position is the weakest position on the team.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 09:30 PM) It's a good thing too. Rodon looks awful according to game day. Pitches aren't even close. He's doing the Nuke Laloosh line two walks an HBP and then he gives up hits. Yep, looks like his command has been terrible. Good news is his velocity is in the 93-95 mph range.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 07:53 PM) Damn, so now they wont be able to recruit (no coach stability), the coach is probably upset himself, barring some miracle that program is going to suck for some time. I would be livid. No one is forcing him not to look elsewhere. There's 3 openings in Illinois, he should be going for those. The scary thing for GT is they have a decent group of players for next year, but they're all seniors. They have 5 scholarships available for 2016-2017. -

Yep, Gregory is back. This might be the nail in the coffin with me and college hoops. It's turned into a dreadful sport anyway with all the transfers, etc. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 06:21 PM) How do you make a mistake like that? That's pretty awful. Three straight horrible Athletic Directors have completely screwed up. Sad thing is the current AD was supposed to be a great basketball mind. Massive meltdowns on the GT boards today, as the AD is now going to be on the hot seat. I HATE being a college basketball fan of a football school. -

Ha, Ga Tech's incompetency in handling Athletics continues, as it looks like they won't have the money to afford Gregory's buyout and thus have to keep him even though no one still wants him there. -
Wow did UNC collapse in last ten minutes.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 14, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) What about your boy fathom? He's technically a Chicago guy right? Success in the A10, close enough to DePaul, even if he failed in the ACC. I would hope they could do better. Gregory wasn't exactly shining at Dayton when he left there, as he was close to getting fired before GT made the awful hire -
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Mar 14, 2015 -> 09:13 PM) It would be nice if he had a good year and at least is a useful, cheap 4th OF for a few years. With his brother's success hopefully it rubs off in some increased confidence. One of the biggest weaknesses on this roster right now is 4th outfielder. I'm not confident Schuck is a great fit.

QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Mar 14, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) Kris Bryantright shoulder fatigue http://m.mlb.com/news/article/112719210 And hit two homers afterwards

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 14, 2015 -> 09:38 PM) You'll see this from him a lot. I know you freak out about all their guys, but he's this good. If he's not a perennial all-star for them, it will be surprising. As a Cubs hater, just have to keep hoping a majority of these guys bust like Patterson and Pie.
-
6 homers in 20 at bats for Kris Bryant now, as he's hit 2 today. Stupid Astros!

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 14, 2015 -> 09:13 PM) Oliver Purnell is resigning at Depaul. Any Depaul people on the board? Howlund has been rumored in the past. Someone like Rod Strickland do anything to move the meter? I think DePaul has the best chance of any of the Illinois schools to build a program with Chicago kids staying. New arena will help but they need a coach. Any ideas? Should be Howland or bust for DePaul. Not likely to be a lot of big time schools looking for a coach this offseason. -
Bulls with a TERRIBLE 2nd half tonight. Good thing McDermott only got 5 minutes when he was on fire in the first.
-
Those bullpen options you listed aren't impressive at all
-
Was the injury delay for Robertson or guy he hit
-
Not a lot of power being shown by out starters so far in ST
-
Soler and Bryant have the chance to be MVP caliber players...yikes
