  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 01:45 AM) Peavy is Peavying I can't believe he was talking about the Cubs like he was the day before pitching the biggest game of his career.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 05:42 PM) Sweet, I'll take Peavy and Lester in a package deal. Says Theo and Maddon
  3. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 05:27 PM) What do you think it'd take? You frequent Toronto boards don't you? If the Sox are going to trade them one of their 2nd baseman, I really hope it's Sanchez.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 05:14 PM) If TCU wins out, they absolutely deserve to be in the playoffs, in my opinion. They'd have 4 quality wins (Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Kansas State and at WVU). Scratch Oklahoma St from the list, as they're going to lose a lot of games the rest of the way. Their schedule is insane this year: - FSU (neutral site) - at TCU - WVU - at Kansas St - at Baylor - at Oklahoma
  5. If TCU wins out, they absolutely deserve to be in the playoffs, in my opinion. They'd have 4 quality wins (Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Kansas State and at WVU).
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 02:33 PM) Sox acquire DH Adam Lind in about a week from Toronto. totally agree with you on this
  7. Nebraska winning out until the Big Ten Champ Game could be a huge boost to Mich St's hopes. Nebraska could possibly be a top ten team if they go 11-1.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 01:40 AM) They should probably beat someone good first. There's a possibility that by the end of the year, they will have no top 25 wins even if they win out.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 01:36 AM) I may never say this again. ND deserves to be in the playoff IMO. I feel like TCU is easily the most underrated one loss team. I'm not sure why UGa is rated so highly.
  10. @Buster_ESPN: Rival executives believe that if Joe Maddon winds up with the Cubs, the Rays will investigate the issue of tampering.
  11. Basically every baseball expert is predicting Maddon to Cubs now.
  12. Andrew Friedman already on the record today saying they won't hire Maddon
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 24, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) It just makes too much sense It would suck for them to have best GM and Manager
  14. Ugh, saw a tweet from Toronto sports writer Steve Simmons that there is a rumor at exec level in baseball that he will go to Cubs. Sorry no copy/paste as having phone issues.
  15. Buster Olney thinks he ends up with Cubs
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 20, 2014 -> 08:48 PM) On a sidenote, I still expect ND to lose another game this year and make it a moot point but I like Brian Kelly. Seeing so many of this big or so called big programs miss on various guys, I am A okay with Kelly and figure at some point we'll win a title with him and at least we'll pretty much always be in the top 25 with him here. Just like with Golson, will he bolt for the NFL after this year? He's had to deal with major academic issues the last two seasons, so maybe he wants out.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 20, 2014 -> 07:41 PM) I can't imagine a QB his size gets drafted early enough that it makes sense for Everett to leave for the pro game. He has become a pretty accurate passer though and just an overall good reader of the defense. He clearly has to work on cleaning up his handling of the football, especially when he's running, etc. Plus how he handled his off the field issues and how much he developed while away from the game, is impressive, and a positive indicator if I'm an NFL scout regarding his ability to work, overcome adversity, etc. Everyone wants the next Russell Wilson though. I do agree he's handle his issues well, as he gave the best answers of anyone on either team after Saturday's game.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 20, 2014 -> 07:08 PM) Between that game & the Clemson & NC State games, it's pretty obvious this FSU team is nowhere near as good as last years. They will likely still make the final 4, but I sure as hell wouldn't pick them to win it all. (Plus, it's probably a 50/50 chance Winston is ineligible by January.) I think Louisville can take them next Thursday. They got their stud WR back, and have maybe the 2nd best D in the country (Ole Miss D is sensational).
  19. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 20, 2014 -> 07:59 PM) ND is losing only two starters on offense, one on defense, plus the kicker, and they get Russell and Williams back from suspension. Should be Top 5 preseason next year. Probably not good enough to beat Mississippi State, Alabama or Oregon this year. I waver back and forth between wanting them to get into the playoff that is almost impossible to win or going to the Orange Bowl and destroying Clemson. Watch for Golson to go pro though. Seeing him listed as the #3 QB prospect by some draft experts.
  20. Also, the worst refereed game yesterday was the Baylor game, and the call at the end of the UCLA game was awful
  21. ACC officiating supervisor just confirmed it was the right call
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 20, 2014 -> 01:42 AM) Yes, they got lots of their patented no calls when FSU was not called for holding at least 5 or six times when Winston was scrambling. Or the blatant hands to the face by nd lineman on the Winston pick. Heck, the first ND touchdown drive had some awful spots and calls. As for the last play , I don't think it was a pick (like the first TD), but it was illegal blocking downfield. Hey, at least it wasn't roughing the snapper. Good game by the Irish though, as they are in a good position to make the playoffs.
  23. Anderson's getting some great reviews so far with his performance in the AFL.
