If Avi faces Richard, it has all the makings of a line drive homer to RF

Wow, I need to walk away from my tv/computer more often!

QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 09:23 PM) Nah remember...Kenny has Hahn tied to a chair while using his phone to sign these guys. I just looked up Chris Bassitt's numbers on the season for the first time. I shouldn't have done that

Schwarber's had 17 full counts in his big league career, and he's reached base 15 times

QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 09:21 PM) Looks like that time off for Adam paid off Stay hot Hahn

Just stop playing LaRoche. Put Trayce in RF and DH Avi.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 09:15 PM) he cost himself a lot of money with the way he's pitched this year. Guy came in with a huge chip on his shoulder and has pitched like s***. Goddamn peavy reincarnated No more Notre Dame a-holes!

QUOTE (Yoda @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:14 PM) Anyone else feel like John Danks would be doing better if he would have started today? To be fair, this Cubs offense is destroying everyone of late.

QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:12 PM) Seriously this asshole comes out and says the team is just fine and we can compete for a Wild Card. Then pitches like garbage. As much as I like his offense, it's getting to the point where if Soto is catching, the pitcher is going to do bad.

Samardzija has been a complete bust. It's getting to the point that I don't think you can risk giving him a 15 million dollar option to re-establish his value.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) Not if it has to go 4 or 5 innings. They have plenty of 1 inning guys in their pen, as Maddon's been incredibly aggressive going to them lately

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) Jeff has cost himself millions of dollars this year. His stuff just isn't very good. Splitter's effectiveness seems terrible compared to last year.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:03 PM) The good news is Hendricks is up to 57 pitches already. Their bullpen is better than he is

No Anderson, as he was pulled early last game as well (as well as the game before that due to his slide)

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 10:01 PM) Haha that's great. He's got to look at the bright side in a situation like this. Maximum hype means maximum angst if they fail to win it all. Now of course that means risking the possibility they do bring home a championship (or multiple! Oh no, the horror!), but if they don't win it all over this next 5-6 year window then Cub fans will be more angsty than ever. Well said, at this point, it would shock me if they don't make the postseason. Just hoping that some of the superstars likely to be involved in the postseason step up (ie..Kershaw). Interesting aspect of the new playoff system is that it's almost a guarantee the Wild Card winner (from NL Central) will play Cardinals in the NLDS.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) Mr. Robot was absolute perfection last night. That's one of the most well done TV episodes I've ever seen. The acting, the directing, and the twist were all awesome. Yep, the last 10 minutes were great

Schwarber's going to end up winning ROY over Bryant and Joc.

Hawks announcing was awesome right before the double

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 05:44 AM) I find it amazing earlier in the year laroche was not getting time. He is god awful. fangraphs has them as equally bad on defense

Real nice pitch to Iannetta. Hopefully DeJesus hits it hard at someone

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 05:34 AM) WHY bunt? He wasn't touching that low and away slider

Damn, good idea/bad execution

Saladino might as well bunt and make Conor throw him out.

Just a terrible AB by Sanchez. He's struggling at the plate again this month.

Nicely done
