QUOTE (Knackattack @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 02:18 AM) Man their center fielder flies Best defensive player in baseball

Saladino looks clueless vs offspeed pitches. Need to move him down in the order.

Since when did David Ross become Pudge Rodriguez behind the plate?

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 11:22 PM) Still don't know why Thompson isn't starting? Avi hit two homers off of Karns last year

Danish destroyed yet again

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) Carroll got sent down after the game...so... Give Trayce some of Awfulsail's at bats

And just like that, Cubs are tied for the WC lead. 4 days ago, they were 2.5 out of the WC and so were the Sox. I hate baseball this year.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 10:06 PM) That Shark trade is probably pissing everyone off. The A's turned Russell into Semien, Phegley and Bassit and the Sox turned Semien, Bassit and Phegley into a 2 WAR rental in a non competing year. Christ on a cookie. And the Cubs got a potential stud SS in the deal as well

What an awful approach by Avi, leads to an easy 4-6-3 DP

If they decide to bring in a lefty starting catcher next year, Soto would be the perfect platoon.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 09:44 PM) HR Alexei 12-2 Yanks. Crazy he's going to end up with a better average and homers than Avi and LaRoche most likely

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 08:33 PM) One day so bad, next day so good, rubber match so bad. Wouldn't be the first time the starting pitching collapsed the last few months of the season.

QUOTE (Sox Fan In Husker Land @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 09:25 PM) That last at bat by Avi was a complete s*** show. When's the last time he even came close to hitting a home run?

Between last night with DJ on the radio and Stone right there on TV, the Sox announcers are being openly critical of Avi's approach at the plate.

No reason for Abreu to still be batting. Definitely hobbled, and game is out of hand.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) You realize after that season, he all but destroyed the franchise? There are no honorary titles given to World Series winning GMs if they follow it up with seasons of suck fest. Every move for ten years has been driving further into the ground. They both should be fired after this season, but I don't get why some act like Hahn is this incredible GM ready to be unleashed as soon as KW is gone.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 08:53 PM) Ha, LaRoche takes the ball the opposite way for a single. Can it be like Little League where we can pinch run for him so he can go warm up to pitch?

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 07:52 PM) Clearly this FO isn't interested in winning they way we're supposed to. I'm tired of Kenny Williams. His comments make it clear he's still in charge and he needs to go. Stop blaming KW. At least he was able to put together a winning team once. Rick Hahn has been pretty awful at his job. Great guy, great speaker, awful GM.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 08:47 PM) They're not going to give up on Avi yet and we all know that. What they're going to do in the IF I have no idea. But since I think them picking up Alexei's option is a terrible idea, that's my best guess. I said this the other day, but the fact they were looking so hard at a corner outfielder, I think they could easily give up on Avi if he continues to be the worst offensive starter in baseball.

Outstanding job by Sale, Rodon and Samardzija this turn through the rotation.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 07:44 PM) Where do we start? Looking at next year's roster, getting a legit RF and 3B should be step 1 and 1a

Hopefully LaRoche can pitch 2 out of 3 days

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 07:41 PM) How is Samardzija not being thrown out of this game? He threw two right at his legs. Girardi would beg for them not to toss him

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 08:37 PM) It's not just Kris Bryant. I don't think they drafted Bryant, anyway. It's Kris Bryant, it's turning Shark into Addison Russell. Their minor leagues are just so stacked. Schwarber was a great pick given the industry consensus going into the draft.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 08:35 PM) Mercy that ball was demolished. 7-0 Yanks. No reason in the world for Samardzija to still be in. Let Carroll mop this up.
