Opening Day Starter
I have no problem with PK starting on opening day in his last season. I would actually be disappointed if he didn't. It would seem like Abreu will be at 1B and PK at DH.

2014 Draft class
Brandon Finnegan of TCU with another dominating start: 7IP, 6 hits, 0 ER, 0BB/9K

2014 Draft class
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 21, 2014 -> 09:09 PM) If those two are gone, I'm taking Trea Turner. Not a doubt in my mind. +1, especially given the White Sox lack of trust in high school pitching (at least, according to Hawk and Stone)

2014 Draft class
Clint Longenecker @Clint_BA 29m Thru 2 Jeff Hoffman 94- 97. Good feel for 87-90 CH against LH heavy lineup. 2 SO. One base runner allowed. HR by Brandon Downes He's given up 2 runs in 3 innings

2014 Draft class
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 15, 2014 -> 08:19 PM) Tyler Beede stat line yesterday against Long Beach State. 5 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K. And got the win. Solid line. A few other top prospects went as well: Brandon Finnegan (TCU)- 7IP, 3 hits, 0 BB, 13K Aaron Nola (LSU)- 6IP, 4 hits, 0 BB, 6K Finnegan has a chance to be a top 10 pick with a big season. Also, Jordan Brink (Fresno St) dominated UC-Irvine last night.

Official Recruiting Thread II
Jackson has been a huge disappointment so far this year for ND. To say he's been passive is a gigantic understatement. If Illinois had the chance to either get Brunson or Jackson, the clear choice should be Brunson.

Batting Order Options
QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 01:32 AM) If the season started today.. C Whatever 1B Abreu DH Viciedo 2B Beckham 3B Davidson SS Alexei LF DeAza CF Eaton RF Avisail 1st bench option Gillaspie CF Eaton LF DeAza RF Garcia 1B Abreu DH Viciedo 2B Beckham SS Alexei 3B Davidson C Whatever If Nieto makes it & can make enough contact I wouldn't mind seeing Nieto/Gillaspie (when he plays) work in the #2 slot. Main reason being is that I don't see any of our future core pieces that are currently in the lineup as being prototypical #2 hitters, and to increase trade value I'd like Beckham, DeAza, and Alexei hitting in spots where they could look to drive in runners. That lineup might lose 100 games

2014 Draft class
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 25, 2014 -> 05:43 PM) Doug Padilla @ESPNChiSox 8m Hahn admits No. 3 draft pick in June probably will be spent on pitching. Four of top five guys available, as of now, are pitchers. Rodon, Hoffman, Kolek, Beede, Turner seems to be the 5 he's referring to.

Ventura to get extended
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 06:20 PM) I'm left wondering why he took the extension now when he wouldnt' take it after 2012. I'd rather he agree to extension now, coming off of his first bad year, as opposed to accepting it after his first season. At least we now know he's willing to stick with it, regardless of how the team performs.
