  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 12:19 AM) It would be a terrible thing for our starting pitcher to give up 10 runs, even if we win. How so? If it means a non-prospect in Axelrod gets bumped for a potential #3 starter in Santiago, it could be a good thing for the organization in the short and long run.
  2. Viciedo is so predictable now. However, not sure what the point is in playing him against a RHP with a good fastball right now.

Jared Mitchell has K'd in 76 of his 169 official at bats in AAA during his career. It's to the point with him I wouldn't mind the Sox trading him for another high potential, low production player in another organization if he has any value left.
  4. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 03:11 AM) No way in hell you trade Peavy. The Jakemeister gave us a major sweetheart of a deal to stick around here & it would be a total b**** move to ship him off elsewhere unless he personally requested a deal. Besides, a rotation with 3-4 lefties in it cannot have 2 revolving doors/black holes in it from the right hand side, and if Peavy goes, that is what happens, and it makes it harder on everyone including the players (Q, Santiago) you're trying to develop. Plus we need more of Peavy's attitude and grit and fierce in-game ballsy competitor fireyness and less of what we've been seeing on nights like tonight, no way in hell you trade your leader. And what good would having that leader be on the roster next year that's in a rebuilding mode? If the Sox struggle this year, Peavy's much more valuable to the organization as one of the few impact trade chips they have.
  5. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:53 AM) Can the Sox DL Floyd for "tightness" or some other mystery ailment? Sox need him to pitch someone decent so they can trade him if they fall out of contention.
  6. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:49 AM) f*** it. Lose 100 games. If you're gonna suck go for it at least! I don't want this team finally coming around in August to finish at .500 At what point do you shut down Sale to save his arm?? Kidding, I swear
  7. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:44 AM) Dominated by the 90 mph fastball over and over... Courtney Hawkins is mad he can't bat this inning
  8. Getting blown away by 90-91 mph fastballs
  9. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:43 AM) JEEEEZ ump giving him 5 inches off that plate I'm sure our hitters will adjust
  10. Haha, these pitches are 6 inches off the plate.
  11. Hawk is so upset right now
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:38 AM) Hawk sounded so optimistic going to break there. Ha, noticed that also. Gillaspie should be leading off here
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:36 AM) I'd be far more concerned about Ventura if was making knee jerk moves at every turn. You have to believe his patience is wearing thin with Flowers and Dunn. But look at Viciedo -- before tonight you would have thought he deserves to be benched too. Benched against a LHP?
  14. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:35 AM) The Tribe didn't want to give Sandy A an opportunity....I would be all for him. To catch? Yes please
  15. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:35 AM) The Tribe didn't want to give Sandy A an opportunity....I would be all for him. Just my opinion though. Give me Dave Martinez just to drive Hawk nuts with sabermetrics
  16. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:33 AM) If Robin continues to sleepwalk through this season and the Sox lose 90, I bet he resigns in the off-season. I think we all believe that
  17. Donald, please watch video from last year to see how bad your arm slot is on your pitches this year
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:29 AM) Flowers failing was as obvious as it comes. Yes, you were all over it
  19. Flowers is 0-9 with 6 K with RISP
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:27 AM) Flowers and Dunn in same lineup is a total failure. Rick Hahn deserves a lot of criticism for not bringing in a better back-up that could give Ventura more options.
  21. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:25 AM) Flowers doesnt have a prayer lmao He's not even being aggressive with his swing. He has to be one of the worst starting players in all of the majors.
  22. Flowers is just incredibly bad. He's not even coming close to having good at bats.
  23. Time for Flower to homer and take advantage of some incredibly dumb managing by Toronto
  24. Leaving a LHP in to face Viciedo??
  25. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:18 AM) If Dunn is a man of his word, I hope this season is so miserable for him, he retires. That would be great. I have a feeling the 2014 White Sox roster is going to look incredibly different than what we see on the field right now. Possibly changes at 1b, 2b, catcher, DH, 2 starting pitchers, etc.
