  1. As an unbiased fan, ISU got screwed big time vs Louisville. That broadcast was awful, as they never showed the possible goaltending with about 15 seconds left. ISU looked extremely well coached.
  2. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 1, 2012 -> 11:46 PM) Hope saban puts those timeouts to good use during halftime. Awful no call on the hit to Murray. Spencer Tillman getting blasted on twitter for saying he's voting for Te'o for the Heisman cause he "likes his story".
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 1, 2012 -> 04:04 AM) Huskies It would be great for the program if Lynch can get an invite to NYC for the Heisman.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) Skip Bayless says Te'o dominated for 12 weeks. The leaders of the Te'o for Heisman committee are Skip Bayless, Dick Vitale and Magic Johnson. What's next, Hawk Harrelson is going to say he deserves it?
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 07:35 PM) I would have liked to have seen them in the Big 12, but let's hope this opens the floodgates on Florida State + others to the Big 12. Due to academics, GT would have never approved Big 12. From everything I've heard, GT's Board of Trustees cares very little about sports.
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 05:39 PM) I think there is going to be a lull until North Carolina and Virginia get sorted out. The only other idea is that the Big10 is really going to 18, and will be splitting the conference into 2 (basically old big v new big). I'll be stunned if GT isn't next. Who knows, they might be waiting until Monday to announce with the ACCCG on Saturday.
  7. George Kottaras would be a good fit, but he's arb-eligible with the A's
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 05:23 PM) So it seems that a lot of people are starting to run with a GT to Big10 story. From what I can tell its all coming from an online blogger that has been way off. It's likely going to happen, but not as soon as some of these reports indicate.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) In football, LSU kicked a Hesiman finalist off the team because he liked to smoke pot. Well, it does sound like he failed numerous drug tests.
  10. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 03:14 PM) When were there other accusations of sexual assault by that or any other ND player? And those aren't "my excuses". They are the facts that determine how the legal case did or did not progress. Only at ND does everybody else expect players to be kicked off the team just for being accused of crimes that can't come close to being proven. Oh, well maybe at Duke as well. You mean like what Xavier had the guts to do with their best returning player this year?
  11. Manti Te'o leading the chants of overrated is quite funny at the end of the game. If Manziel did that, the twitter world would explode saying how classless he is. ND basketball is good though with an extremely easy schedule until conference time.
  12. Kentucky fans have to be going nuts right now. ND is destroying them.
  13. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 03:19 AM) Tech looks better than I anticipated, but Illinois even moreso so far GT is screwed beyond belief if Udofia is out for an extended time, which it looks like he might be. GT better pray Solomon Poole becomes eligible after the semester ends.
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 28, 2012 -> 05:01 PM) There is optimism in the program again, and I really hope people show up for the game tonight and put on a good show for the cameras. You mean when everyone will be watching the OSU-Duke game?
  15. Thing is, if Alabama goes out and destroys UGa, then the line will likely be even higher for Alabama heading into the NC game. I definitely can't see anyone beating this ND squad by more than 13 points or so based on their defense.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 08:20 PM) Of course he's talented if he's the backup at a program like USC, but there's no way in hell he'd be starting for 90% of FBS teams right now as a freshman. And, for arguments sake, even if he was, he would have been all year and this would have been his 10th/11th/12th game, not his first game ever. Wittig has a good future, but you could tell the timing was way off between him and Lee. I think USC likely scores 10 more points with Barkley at QB in that game, but I also think ND probably tries harder for TDs instead of settling for field goals.
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 02:57 AM) IIRC he was a pretty high level recruit. But he totally looks like the local guy you'd recruit and then all the sudden he makes everything. Pretty sure draft express had a stat that said he was the best pure shooter in the country last year (or the year before) based on some shooting graphs they had. Also, Hulls was 74th in the final RSCI.
  18. Well, GT travels to Champaign this week for a game I've not been looking forward to. GT's played very good defense so far this year, but they are a brutal shooting team. It will be the first true road test for their talented freshman. I predict a 63-49 win for Illinois.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 05:44 AM) -Props to ND and their fans. I'm a major hater, but they beat all 12 teams on their schedule and that's what matters. Good luck beating the "unstoppable" SEC. -Lane Kiffin may actually be a worse coach than Tim Beckman. That goalline play calling sequence was brutal. -If Johnny Manziel doesn't win the Hesiman, then the Heisman voters need to join MLB's Hall of Fame voters in a labor camp in Siberia. He has more total yards than Newton & Tebow did in their seasons, the kid has been incredible. ESPN and their employees seem to be pushing Te'o for the Heisman tonight. Te'o, outside of that interception, was a complete non-factor (he's been average at best the last 4 games, as he hasn't topped 5 tackles once). Once again, Nix and his ability to clog the middle in goal line situations was more important than anything else for the ND defense. Like you said though, they beat all 12 teams on their schedule and that's something that Oregon and K St. couldn't find a way to do.
  20. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 05:51 AM) With a backup QB and 3rd string RB, might I add... Clowney would be the first pick in the draft if he was eligible.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 04:37 AM) Until anybody proves that they can play with and beat the SEC's best I'm sticking with that conference. Yeah, I was shocked at Florida pounding FSU on the road. USCe beating Clemson was also impressive.
  22. QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 04:33 AM) better than Alabama/UGA vs Florida. Funny thing is Stanford with their new QB might be the best team in the country now.
  23. Congrats to the ND fans. I pray that McCarron or Murray don't get hurt next week. Manziel better have locked up the Heisman after today unless those 4 tackles and interception and mugging for the camera = Heisman.
  24. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 04:20 AM) His team has been stuffed on the goal line running the ball all night. You have amazing wide receivers. Keep throwing, it isn't like ND has stopped that all night. And you are making it easier for ND to stop the run when you only have 1 WR on the field and let them go all out to stop the run. Yep, just a terrible set of offensive calls by the goal line. Once it got to 3rd down, might as well do the fade again and draw the PI.
  25. Shocker, more dropped passes. Unbelievably awful play calling there. And please ABC, stop showing Te'o every other play when he's been a non-factor tonight. Musberger and Herbstreit were terrible on the broadcast tonight.
