Swinging at the 59 footer...not good

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 09:04 PM) I wonder if Yost would have pinch hit for Moose. Probably not this early in the season. Royals fans would have been incensed had Moose made an out. They'd have wanted a pinch hitter. If he did, then that's when you bring in a righty pitcher.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 10:00 PM) He threw 2.2 on Wednesday, I'm sure he could have went today. Either way, putting in Cleto there and pitching to Perez was the worst possible decision. It shouldn't have mattered who the righty reliever was. You had the open base with 2 outs, with one hitter batting .500 and the other without a hit. I didn't even think it would be a difficult decision.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 08:57 PM) RV bullpen management may be the worst in baseball. You could just say he may be the worst manager in baseball, and I doubt you'd get many complaints.

Even Hawk seems pissed at the decision

Way to go Robin...not. That's an inexcusable mistake by Ventura.

Wow, seems like the better plan was to walk Perez to face the hitless on the season Moustakas.

Quick release, perfect throw!

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) 2 of the 4 balls to Billy Butler were clear strikes on GameDay. First curve was right down the plate

Chen with a much bigger zone than Downs, it appears

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) What did Alexei do? I just know he got out. Deep lineout that Aoki made a nice catch on.

Ugh, of course

Nice job of hitting a ball in the air by PK. De Aza with a poor AB.

Nice job by Danks today

Not a single hard hit ball with RISP today. Something that's noticeable about this lineup is that there are only 5 guys in it that are threats to hit double-digit homers.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 07:48 PM) He is in 2014. I respectfully say, who cares who's ready or not this year?

Yep, gave run back

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 07:45 PM) What are you talking about? He may not be ready for major league baseball but he does profile well for the #2 spot and he's not a bench player. Yep, if he's not MLB caliber, then neither is almost every other young guy the Sox are counting on.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 07:43 PM) This is so insanely stupid. He projects quite well as the 2nd baseman of the future for the Sox.

Here comes another likely run after the Sox score. Aoki and Infante are going to be Sox pests the next few years.

Abreu with a horrible approach against Chen. All of the righties are going up there trying to pull the ball.
-
4/5- White Sox @ Royals 1:10 PM CT
Good AB by Nieto there. No way should that have been an error.

4/5- White Sox @ Royals 1:10 PM CT
Nice ob of limiting the damage. He used his fastball more at the end there.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 08:23 PM) Good thing Gillaspie scooped that throw or it was Keystone Kops time. Is Eaton's arm worse than Johnny Damon or was that an anomaly? Don't know much about him. Eaton has a very strong arm that is very inconsistent.

Seems like he's throwing change-ups 90% of the time. Second time through the order, and KC is no longer fooled.
