Pitt with their prevent defense the entire 4th quarter has been a disgrace.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 11:56 PM) ND just got screwed out of a timeout. REFS HELPING OUT PITT ONCE AGAIN!!!! CONSPIRACY!!! In college, at what time does the clock stop if you go out of bounds? To a certain point, it stops to place the ball and then starts up again.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 10:31 PM) I grow tired of officials helping ND EVERY game at home in the 4th quarter that they are behind...............That was not pass int! Don't forget the 4th and 1 that even Mayock admitted was a massive hold on that drive.

White Sox Re-Sign Jake Peavy
Thrilled with the move, as I have a feeling the contracts this offseason are going to be insane. League's already getting 22.5 for 3 years from the Dodgers. I have to give Peavy a lot of credit, as he could have easily received deals for more years and money on the open market. I think we can officially state that the Sox won't be going into full rebuilding mode this offseason.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 04:00 PM) Q for Moose would be a great deal for both teams. Resign Peavy and call it an off-season. I would hope for KC's sake they could get a starting pitcher more projectable than Quintana. I'm sure they'll try to get guys like Hellickson, Matt Moore, etc.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) Do you think Johnson should be fired? That seems to be the consensus among every GT fan I hear on the local sports talk shows. Also, now that the AD left to take the job at Clemson, I think it's much more likely that the new AD will want to bring in "his guy." If they fire him, they'll owe him 10 million dollars. After the debacle with Hewitt's "lifetime" contract, the GT Athletic Department has no prayer of affording that much money. Johnson will get one more year, and if it goes poorly maybe he'll walk away (especially with the AD leaving, like you said). Thankfully they have significantly better QBs waiting in the wings than the current one who's been under center the last two years.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 03:40 AM) Yeah, Edsall has had some horrible luck. I can't even imagine playing a LB at QB. Like, you pretty much just run the ball every play right? And the occasion screen or something where he doesn't have to throw downfield. GT's defense is brutal, and it's possible they'll be starting a freshman at QB in the game. I expect a close game.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 01:42 AM) Tennessee and Georgia Tech had a "secret" scrimmage today where media wasn't allowed and no one is allowed to talk about it, report a score, etc. But, more than one source has said Tennessee dominated (without arguably our best player). Getting me excited for basketball season. It's not surprising, GT is going to suck again in basketball this year until they start benching their veterans for their more talented young player. With that said, UT has 3 very good players in Golden, Stokes and Maymon.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) Sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't. Sometimes the higher angle shows more and sometime a lower angle shows more. Depends on the play and where the officials are. So only when it favors the team you root for Kidding HHuskers, I'm done talking about that game.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 07:22 PM) Refs had different angles than the cameras. At least one of them saw a knee on the ground. Didn't you just say that it's hard to make a call at ground level sometimes and it's much more clear 100 feet away?

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 07:21 PM) That is the point. How could the refs call him down when they cant see his knees? You cant just guess that the player is down. Perfect post

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) Bogus pass interference call? You're really grasping at straws. Better hurry out to your local Target and buy some BYU gear before next Saturday. BYU has no prayer vs them next week. It would be quite ironic if Kansas finds a way to knock out Landry Jones before the game in two weeks.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 07:17 PM) Why throw when you scored running the ball in? How would they know the refs would make up a call on 4th down. Eventhough he was never down game over! Nothing to see here folks! I cant really fault Stanford when the runner scored, hell they possibly scored on 2 out of 4 downs. Why would they not run? Nunes isn't exactly trustworthy anyways. That guy short-armed easy throws all game.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 07:15 PM) I will say that from what I've seen of the replay, it was not conclusive enough to overturn regardless of which way it was originally called. The fact they didn't review it was the most puzzling call of the game, as I pointed out as soon as it happened. That's a play you see reviewed 100% of the time.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 07:08 PM) 4 calls? There was the personal foul penalty and the end zone play. The bogus pass interference call and the 2nd down play that should have been reviewed. Even ND fans, from what I've seen, are acknowledging that Taylor was likely in on that one. You seem to be the only person who is arguing that they didn't get the benefit of the calls.
