  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 02:35 AM) What a juke by Briggs on the return That camera angle they showed from above was awesome. Briggs looked like an agile running back.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 02:31 AM) If Detroit wins it all, it may not have the hunger to do it again. We got to win the division and to do that, we need Detroit to underachieve again like it did this year. Or they might decide they like winning it all so much they want to bring in Josh Hamilton in the offseason? For me, I hope they lose every game in the postseason in pathetic fashion. They are a very unlikable team this year.
  3. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 02:48 AM) Tigers wont do s*** in the playoffs anyway. If Scherzer's healthy (doubtful), they have just as good of a chance as anyone in baseball with their rotation.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 02:47 AM) How many innings does Peavy go tomorrow? 4? 9, you know it's the perfect spot for a dominating performance from him
  5. Give Veal the 9th and see what he's got against righties.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 01:36 AM) Oh Cutler being a douche bag, what a surprise. Week 4 and the QB and off. coord. aren't talking. Great. Well, looks like sports radio in Chicago is set for the week.
  7. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 01:32 AM) Nice 3rd down call there Tice. The same one that barely worked last time. Still, nice drive. Cutler's only one on the Bears to break a tackle so far.
  8. I hate Alcides Escobar. He's a career .185 hitter vs the Tigers, and a career .950 hitter vs the White Sox
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 01:17 AM) For f***s sake Need to throw it deep here and hope for a PI
  10. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 02:06 AM) You can say that about several players being a bit late in their "finding it" I am sorry to say No one else has "found" it
  11. An amazing stat is how Santiago is dominating lefties now. When he was in the bullpen, lefties were hitting in the .300s I believe against him.
  12. Dunn missed that last pitch by about a foot
  13. Wow, what awful play calls the last few plays.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 12:52 AM) Santiago has to be emerging as a favorite for the starting rotation in 2013. You have to wonder if they were to trade Thornton how Veal would do with the pressure and expectations on him, but it's worth it to clear $5 million in payroll space. Quintana could also figure into the LH bullpen picture as well. There aren't very many certainties other than Sale and hopefully Danks at the moment. Quintana, Floyd, Santiago...doubt Humber's back. Quintana as a reliever is a bad idea, especially given how slow he starts out games. I wouldn't be against starting him in AAA in order to limit his innings early in the year.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 01:49 AM) Where was this control last week? Bad pitch selection and umpire with small zone hurt Santiago last week
  16. Santiago needs to be in the rotation next year. His arm is too valuable to be in the bullpen.
  17. Really nice swing by Viciedo against the tough righty.
  18. KC has quite the crappy lineup tonight
  19. So what's exactly wrong with De Aza? Hope it's nothing serious.
  20. Same old, same old. Get guys on, and Viciedo is a joke against RHP and Alexei can't get the big hit.
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 11:47 PM) Mark is a big-game pitcher. Sox staff desperately needed somebody just like him. How can you guys disagree? Peavy mighta been that guy. He sucked when needed vs. the Tigers. KW paid for that blunder IMO. Sure, if that big game was before the ASB and not against a great hitting team like the Yankees or Red Sox. Buehrle was a very good pitcher during his Sox career, but he definitely wasn't one of the top 2 or 3 in the AL like you seem to make him out to be. With that said, he's sure getting paid in the years to come as if he's one of the top 5-10 pitchers in the NL (and that is definitely not true).
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 07:12 PM) This soft tossing lefty will pitch forever (if he wants to), just like Moyer. Nobody addresses me saying he earns double salary for being a coach on the field as well. He sets a great example, working fast, moving the ball around. Many of our pitchers got torched in September. You're right, Buehrle's always been a great second half pitcher. Oh wait, that's completely false.
  23. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 12:30 AM) Lets not get Dan Johnson fever. If he was a better bet than Konerko, his career up to this point would show it. This is an older player, and there's no mystery about him. All I know is he's had the best ABs of anyone on this team since he got called up. No one is saying he's a better player than Konerko. However, it's pretty obvious he's a tougher out right now.
